I lived through it and can’t believe how much it exists today. Back then my mother stayed because she didn’t think she had nowhere to go and the belief of staying in your marriage. Yes it does affect a lifetime as for me many issues because I lived through it until 18. When my oldest sister brought a home and my mother decided to leave.
Wow, Michelle I am so sorry you had to go through that. Those are the things that cause trauma in us as witnessing that kind of stuff as kids. I pray you have found some resolve through the Lord!
