I remember talking with rog around 15+ years ago and saying to build a horn+reflex box, we had a chat about phase problem etc. This design is a sensible way of going about it
@@masterjumpstyler1 well just like f1 rate the f218 with less power you can go down as far as you like with a 4th ish order horn. This void box would play lower with less input power if wanted. Although the control could be lost a tad as it's not got a massive amount of front or rear loading, but that in part is what makes it so good at close range bass and also mid field with short front horn
Those subs don’t look very impressive. Also are they using 12awg wire for the leads? That black zip tie needs to be cut flush! I guess that’s where they got the idea for all those blood red finishes, from someone cutting their arm up from a jaggedly cut zip tie. The outside looks awesome, but that driver looks weak.
My friend to be honest I can't Understand the Exact shape of the inside. Can I see the inside properly from your next video. I'm willing to buy a pair from these. but before that, I'm so exited to see the inside. Thanks a lot. and hope you will do another video of the inside of this speaker. Mit welcher cam bist du da rein gekommen? In einem Club in meiner Stadt haben die 6 Stück von den XAirs und oben nexus 6 als tops. Habe mich schon länger gefragt wie die subs von innen aussehen, haben auf jeden fall ne menge druck
+GermanTechHD Das stimmt, dafür verliert man am Tiefgang den Sound... kostet ansonsten eben einiges beim Wirkungsgrad. Besitzt ja auch schon neodym magnet usw. Immerhin treibt das Gehäuse hier den Wirkungsgrad nach oben.
Der Wirkungsgrad ist wie Masterjumpstyler schon sagt natürlich etwas höher. Du musst halt vor allem bedenken, dass da nur ein 18" Treiber verbaut ist. In dem gleichen Gehäusemaß kriegt man ja sonst zwei 18er unter. Da haben wir dann allein durch die doppelte Belastbarkeit 3db mehr, die das Horn durch Kennschalldruck ausgleichen müsste. Das schafft es aber auch nicht. Im Vergleich gewinnt ein potenter doppel18er nach meinen Erfahrungen gegen ein gleich großes Horn. Erst in sehr großen Stacks profitiert das Horn so, dass es dann im Vergleich evtl. einen Hauch besser geht. Das macht es aber eben Unflexibel, weshalb Bassreflex immer noch mit das Perfekte Konstrukt ist wenn es um alle Faktoren geht. Optisch ist das Void Horn natürlich ansprechender wenn es nicht um dezente Optik geht..
Es sind 2 Treiber drinnen und das gaanze ist kein wirklichs horn... Eher ein Bandpass 6ter Ordnung mit expandierenden Ports, was die effizienz etwas hochsetzt. Gegen einen 2*18" BR gewinnt der Void und sieht dabei noch schön aus. Aber ein frontgeladenes Horn ist einzeln kaum zu gebrauchen, wenn es Kompakt ist...

that's because they don't use a v18 driver in those bins, it would rip that driver apart

Random Guy jau, da stimm ich dir zu.. Ich glaub untenrum trotzdem nicht dass es lauter ist als ein doppel 18" br, hat einfach zu wenig port Fläche..
