Dude. Thank you so much. I got this game the day it came out and I've never been able to figure this out. I finally got it today after watching this. 30 years later and I finally got it. You're awesome.
Thanks dude. I'm 39 and just started playing games from my youth that I was too young to fully comprehend when they came out and my parents were buying them for me. Don't know why but I feel the need to conquer the games that defeated me in my youth.
I was trying SO hard to get the bomb jumps down in a Super Metroid hack I'm playing (Biohazard). Fail after fail after fail after fail. Watched at 0:46 and replicated the rhythm. Got it on my first try!
Thank you so much for teaching this! I struggled as a kid and still do. I never thought that I would be able to bomb jump. Now though, after watching this I have not only single bomb jumped, i just triple bomb jumped!!!! You are awesome
@@emeraldmasta7752 what did that game not have ball jumping I haven't played that one in a long time. I Don't even own it any more. Traded it for zero mission.
Thanks for the video. I've been winging it since the game first came out and it would always take me forever to get lucky after awhile. I just started playing again on my switch and figured it was time to actually learn it. Thanks!
I decided to learn how to do bomb jumps because I can't wall jump for beans and needed some way to work around it until getting the space jump. Thanks for teaching this. 👍
What has my life come to? I'm actually watching a tutorial video on how to make progress in a video game older than most people's parents... The worst part of this all is...I love that my life has come to this. LONG LIVE THE SNES! lol This Metroid was the best one EVER!
Thank you for the video. Just a suggestion, I might invert the order to start the video 8:12 and put the mechanics explanation after the rhythmic example
I use original super nintendo controller. Not a fan of 8bitdo. Using wireless controls or emulators are somewhat inconsistent in the way signals are sent and received, so the tricks are harder to pull off because of that.
@@Galamoz Maybe that's my problem with the 8-Bit-Do. The Dpad is also so inaccurate. Thanks for the reply. I think I will invest in a classic SNES gamepad.
Helpful video, thank. With the lower norfair theme I could finally go through the cave with the 3 bats in Norfair, the one where you must go through the hole in the ceiling. I know I'm supposed to get the high jump boots before but I don't remember where they are and I'm too lazy to look for them.
people learn differently. i incidentally agree that it's much easier to just learn this by rhythm, but for some people a visual method might be easier. i do not understand those people at all, but they deserve a tutorial too

Honestly, I just listened to the button presses for triple bomb jump and matched them, so that might work too for people who are struggling.
That's what worked for me too!
For me, I just used the visual cue of Samus's bottom half touching my previous bomb.
I like that the music of Lower Norfair can be helpful for this.
Thank you so much for teaching this! I struggled as a kid and still do. I never thought that I would be able to bomb jump. Now though, after watching this I have not only single bomb jumped, i just triple bomb jumped!!!! You are awesome
Doing it to the Norfair beat really did it for me. Now I can continue Metroid romhacks in peace.
watching the faster blinking was a game changer! thanks!
Nice explanation, even had a fancy chart! Using the beat is far easier, but the effort to explain how it works is appreciated.
This is the only metroid game i can remember where i struggle with bomb jumping all of the other games i can get it down fine
A bit late but yea agreed. Metroid prime 3, samus returns and fusion weren't really a problem. This bigger me a bit lol
Wait till you try fusion ;)

The timing window part changed everything for me.
took me 5 seconds to subscribe as soon as you started at the most basic i knew it would be a solid tutorial thank you!

Thank you, you helped me get out of draygon's room in a randomizer run where I did not have space jump yet
i am also here due to a randomizer, i either need an insane walljump or ibj.
Thanks man, so informative, i was able to get a hang of all those little tricks with your help. Cheers mate 🤝
That rhythm technic really helped thanks.
this was way easier than expected ngl
thank you so much!! this was an incredibly helpful video i have mastered it thanks to you very easily!!

Seriously this has been a huuuuge help!
What’s the technical term for the rhythmic technique? I’d like to look up more songs/prices with that timing. I want that blasted energy tank!
Mastered it pretty quickly after your vid. Thanks man
I still can't get the damn 1 bomb jump down. Smh
I just mastered it just to get to kraid early... within minutes.

Hey, ain't no shame about liking good games !
@@faragaroruga3229 True dat.
This game really is incredible.
Older than most people’s parents? The game is like 25 years old haha
@@deadhomelessbum Plenty of 25 year old grandparents in Detroit nowadays.
Playing the Super Metroid and LTTP randomizer. This helped me get a missile tank... and the magic mirror!
Oh my god that rhythm thing blew my mind it worked!
This dude is great.
Thanks buddy this is top notch info
Can you make a metronome of the exact rhythm i need to jump? The sound helps a lot
Love the super metroid tech!!
Great explanation. Thanks
Obligatory Thank you comment here, That graph you made really helped with my thought process on when to place a bomb.
This was insanely helpful!!! TY TY TY
This is great, thank you very much!
Still cant get it confusing
Great tutorial. I love this game!
Man I miss you streaming bro
Can you do a ceiling IBJ tutorial? I can't find anything good.
Ridley's lair give the timing on how to bomb jump? I never knew.
Thank you for the video. Just a suggestion, I might invert the order to start the video 8:12 and put the mechanics explanation after the rhythmic example
thank you so much for this
Thanks a lot, this was really helpful! 👍
You make it look so easy, I just can’t do it lol
Can I ask, what kind of controller do you use to pull all of these tricks off in this game? I bought the 8bitDo but it is garbage.

I learned the tempo by listening to your loud tapping skills
Thank you
God bless you!! ou saved my game.
Thank you for the tip!!
amazing
THANK YOU
Why does this video take 10 minutes? Isn't it just a tempo we can memorize?

It takes 10 minutes because he explains everything about how it works, not just an easy way to perform it
Thx dude
Infotrainment.
Fucking thannnk youuuu!!d
literally how
OR JUST use a AUTO/Turbo fire controller that's the ONLY way I could infinite Bomb jump.
Your aspect ratio is off, just so you know.
Should be in 8:7
