When Mary Ann San Jose moved to Bulacan, northwest of the Philippine capital Manila, more than two decades ago, she could walk to the local chapel. Today, she would have to swim there.
Land in her town and neighbouring areas has sunk between four and six centimetres (1.5-2.4 inches) each year since 2003.
In recent decades, the rising waters have forced at least 5,000 people to abandon homes in the rural coastal areas north of the capital Manila.
The fate of these towns also foreshadows what Manila and its 13 million residents face as long as the sinking continues.

Considering Phillipines still occupies Chinese islands, nah. Xi Jinping's going to build an island for Peng Liyuan instead.

@@user-wu6xl4wq5q you're misinformed. it's the other way around, it's china that occupies philippine islands. they're claiming islands that are not theirs in the first place.

everyday life the Netherlands are a better option. Their whole country is below sea level and is a reclamation site. Not only would they stab us behind our backs, but they are much better in handling stuff like sinking lands lol.

Manila wont sink. Jakarta and Bankok will. Maybe its your karma cause you always understimate Philippines and the Filipinos. Just fix the problems in your country and stop practicing crab mentality
