Great video! Enjoyed the additional background and the CX lineup. I own one of these as well as the 650Turbo version that came out the following year, absolute joy to ride these around. I love the CX platform in general, I'm building a rear engined recumbent powered by one.
Hi Rick, what a great video about such an interesting and unique motorcycle! I loved how you took time to explain a great part of the story about the CX500 Turbo, how it came to be and the comparison with the other models. It really shows that you put a lot of love and effort into this video! It is a real shame that you have gotten so little views on this video. I guess most people are interested in modern superbikes, but this video really deserves a lot more attention because you did a great job in making it! Cheers!
Really enjoyed that video thank you Rick. Unique bike to review and like your genuine, long standing love of bikes especially the older ones. The history around these bikes also adds greatly to the content quality and interest it generated. Thanks once again and keep the content coming please. Very glad I subscribed!
Hi Rick. (sorry if you know this) Over here in the U.K. in the 80`s the CX 500`s were very popular with dispatch riders, especially in London. They got the nick name of plastic maggots, can`t explain why. Not coveted in there day here as they were seen as work bikes, but now getting repurposed after a bit of work as cheap café racers. I enjoy your channel, good luck with it...
Super nice classic bike! Fuel injection started to appear on the BMW K100 and K75 ( early 1980's) and some Kawasaki models. The other turbo bikes of that era: Kawasaki GPZ750turbo Suzuki XN85 Yamaha XJ650turbo Moto Morini 500 turbo
