We were not in the imperial family suite. We were in a family suite and also a swim up suite. Personally for us the private pool wasn't a big deal. We found that we really enjoyed the swim up suite the most. All of the amenities are really the same. It is just a difference of how large the room is and also your access to pools.
@Lonya French There are also 2 levels of Imperial suite (one is a rooftop version, and one with your own private backyard with a fullsize private pool). For us, the Imperial Suite with Private Pool was 100% worth the splurge, as we want privacy and quiet on vacation. Having a private pool you can go in 24 hours a day without sharing the space with strangers was a selling feature. You also get checked in and checked out right in your room. They whisk you away to your room the moment you arrive ❤️
Great video you guys. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem with me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S
Thanks for the video! Do you recall how safe the sliding door was in your swim up suite? Was the lock placed out of your child’s reach? We will be visiting with two toddlers.
I would guess that it would be almost identical. We had stayed at the Excellence, a sister property in Mexico as well and even felt a little deja vu walking around this property. I think it would be a safe bet to book there for sure.
Stayed at hyatt Ziva and loved it, minus the food. Booked this for Jan for nieces sweet 16 birthday and it was double the price ! Is it worth double the price
Most of the dining were inside. Really there are only 3, if I remember correctly that are outside. Duke's, the Italian restaurant, and the beach front one. All of the others are indoors if memory serves. Hope that helps.
So I read a few comments of people not impressed with the food. We are going soon and food means everything to me ! Any thoughts from foodies who have been there? I really want to eat well... we went to a 5 star last year and it was not good.
Honestly the food is good but not out of this world. We really didn't have anything that was bad but nothing that I crave 6 months later. I did hear that the restaurants that were adults only were fantastic but since we had little man with us we didn't get to go there. I hope this helps
We’ve been here twice. Yeah, food is like a 4. At all inclusive places it’s almost impossible to have 5 star food, because people order EVERYTHING on the menu because portion sizes are small. We ordered 2-3 entres per person at every meal. So to get 5 star food, the wait times would have to be longer. I feel it’s a good balance between quality, quantity & wait time.
Now that I know what to watch out for I would be ok with booking by myself. The group I use for a travel is Unforgettable Honeymoons. They have always been fantastic for me.
Yup you are able to bring a drone. I would just check with Mexican rules for bringing them into the country. Different countries have different rules for bringing them in.
The price range is $200 for most of the 75 minute massages and $275 for most of the 100 minute rituals. The facials all run around 200 as well. You can get a 15% discount by booking before you arrive at the resort. Yes the lobster is included in the all inclusive
@@WhodatTravel I can't believe I haven't discovered all inclusive vacations yet. Thank you for this video! My sister was inviting my fiancé and I along on their family trip and this video sealed the deal. What a great value
They do have a soccer field, but I was not over by it that often to see if people were really playing often. I did see a few families playing around on it, but not really a game
@@WhodatTravel thanks! However do you know if they have a club level with an extra bedroom plus swim out? For 2 kids to sleep in the extra bedroom and also enjoy the swim out.
@@WhodatTravel went in August, a few short storms, I love the beach. I only walked down there once. Resort was beautiful. The seaweed, that’s a whole different story. Not for you tube! Fyi
Very helpful video and
Nice resort!
We planned to go exactly to this one.
Glad it was helpful. It is on our list to go back to. It really was nice and relaxing
Are there lots of mosquitos there? My kids allergic to mosquitos. Have you stayed at the Hyatt Ziva? Thank you for your amazing video.
We didn't have any issues with mosquitoes or bugs in general. I have not stayed at the Hyatt and thanks!
Thanks for the review. Which restaurant is the steak and shrimp from (timestamp 8:51)? Thank you.
That was from Duke's. By far the restaurant we ate at the most.
Great video! Thanks for the information, I do wish you’d shown the ocean water. We’re a beach family and the ocean is where it’s at for us.
Thank you. To be honest I realized that I didn't take much video of the ocean when I got home.
Do you have a video of a tour of the swim up suite, was it a Club level suite? Also what was the room number for that room? Thank you!
Loved our stay here. The Imperial suite with private pool is worth the splurge!!
I bet it is an amazing room!
Were you in the Finest Club imperial family suite? If so can you share more about how you liked the room and amenities? Looking to book. Thanks!

Most of the resort is very flat with ramps everywhere. Inside the buildings there are elevators. I think you would be just fine.
Did you ever upload the video of everything you ate? Curious to see it
I have not yet. I had some audio issues so I am trying to figure out how to make the video work.
Super helpful video. What did you end up paying?
To be honest I don't remember what we paid, it was a while ago now, but we are looking at going back in 25
Thanks for the video! Do you recall how safe the sliding door was in your swim up suite? Was the lock placed out of your child’s reach? We will be visiting with two toddlers.
It was safe. The doors were extremely heavy. Like heavy for an adult and the locks were good as well.
@@WhodatTravel thank you for the response!
Thanks for the review! Any thoughts on if the sister property in the Dominican Republic? Thanks!
I would guess that it would be almost identical. We had stayed at the Excellence, a sister property in Mexico as well and even felt a little deja vu walking around this property. I think it would be a safe bet to book there for sure.
Been to both Excellence Playa Mujeres and Excellence Punta Cana.
Preferred Mexico.
It is so hard to book it … when is best time to book ??
We’re going for a wedding very soon! Is there a cost for any of the activities beyond the spa? Are the food trucks included in the cost as well?
All activities are included. The food truck is a restaurant made to look like a food truck and is included as well. Enjoy
Have you been to indian restaturna basmasti?
I don't think that we did. Our little guy was not as adventurous as he is now with food.
Stayed at hyatt Ziva and loved it, minus the food. Booked this for Jan for nieces sweet 16 birthday and it was double the price ! Is it worth double the price
I have never stayed at the Hyatt there but I did feel that the food and the service was really good. So I hope that you do feel that it is worth it
Were the pools heat it? The swim up ones?
They seemed to be. They were warm when we were there
can you take the Liqueur in your room home without getting charged?
If I remember correctly my wife took the ones that were open at least and we were not charged
Where can I find the video you mentioned about the food review?
I had audio issues with most of the food, so I was unable to put that video together
What month did you go?
We were there in March
Do you have access to the Excellence (adults only) resort if you’re staying at Finest?
No. Just the Finest resort. However they are almost identical
super helpful!!!!!!!
Thank you. Glad to help

Given the problems you had booking your trip would you recommend going through a travel agent instead and do you have a referral for one? Thanks!

Heading there next week. Do you know if I can bring my mini drone??? 🤔 I would like to fly at the resort
Yup you are able to bring a drone. I would just check with Mexican rules for bringing them into the country. Different countries have different rules for bringing them in.
@@WhodatTravel perfect! Will do! Thank you!
Yea that’s what I’d love,… to be relaxing on vacation on the beach with drones flying overhead taking videos. 🙄 No privacy anymore.
@@violetjames7534 I assure you... NOONE is trying to capture videos of you... 🙄 bye 👋🏾
Were there any activities that were more geared towards adults or were most of the night time activities/shows for kids?
They really did have both. Mainly the later shows were for the adults and the ones closer to the bars.

I wish you had showed us the ocean. Looks as if there is no sand to swim in. Mostly coral.

Was this family suite in the finest club category? Are there suites with an extra bedroom and swim out (hammock) in the finest club category?
They do have the swim up suite with the hammock in the club category. The one that we stayed at was a standard room
@@WhodatTravel thanks!
However do you know if they have a club level with an extra bedroom plus swim out? For 2 kids to sleep in the extra bedroom and also enjoy the swim out.
Yes they do. There are only a few of them though
Is there a video game room for kids ?? 🤔
No there isn't. There are a ton of activities for kids, including a kids zone that has a water park for them though.
@@WhodatTravel thank you for the reply
do they have babysitting services?
Yes. We heard that they do. We found this out the day we were leaving
@@WhodatTravel lol y’all planned well.
do they have rrooms for a family of 5?
The family suites would work for that. You can check out the room tour I did. The couch becomes a bed as well.
