Just wanna say I'm glad you took the time to tell people they don't need to buy everything. The sneaker market cooling has made it easier to cop great pairs, but that requires some restraint. After years of Ls on snkrs, it's hard to hold back lately 😅
I've got a 92 pair. The retro is pretty spot on with a few differences but not so much that it'll turn away og heads. I'm just glad they used nice/decent leather
Og 7s do not have the metal tip, only regular standard white laces. Also the smooth "leather" was actually synthetic while the tumble was real leather back in 92. Still a classic, but the red feels off, like less vibrant imo.
my first pair of jordan’s. my sister gave these to me as hand me downs heading into 9th grade. i didn’t appreciate them back then but grabbed us both a pair just because i appreciate her and the valuable memory of these shoes.

I remember buying the original Olympic edition of these & the upper was nubuck, so smooooooth & broke in pretty quickly. I’m in my 40’s and have little nostalgia about shoes, this was my first Jordan’s. It’s also why I follow this channel….the shoes, the nerd-dom, your interaction with MrsWing. Keep it up guys!
As usual, another great overall video review. The Air Jordan VII 7 is one of my favorite models. Still have my original 1992 Cardinals. Definitely going to try to pick up this 2022 retro. Hopefully, two. But, Chris was on point with buying what you truly like and want. Not every damn thing that Jordan Brand releases. As that old line from "Star Wars" stated , which I like to use, "Stay on target!!"
The ‘06 Cardinals were the first pair of Js i bought w my own $ and i still have them. I had to get these early. It really feels like things are coming full circle with my collecting as a hobby i gotta say. I'm late to finding this video but ill share my story with these. This is one of my favorite Jordan's in this colorway because they were the first pair of Jordan's I ever owned, I was gifted an og pair are as a baby. Sadly they wear stolen a few years back. Then when I saw them rereleasing I knew I had to get a pair, almost 30 years later and I'm reunited! 😊
My all time favorites! Remember wanting these after my cousin flexed on me and my family was broke so they shot me down fast after asking for a pair. Fast forward to 2011 and after saving up my allowance for years copped these, now I got a good enough job I can double up on these!
In my limited experience with 7s, TTS is uncomfortable and I’m not a wide footer. I found the area of the shoe that surrounds the part of the foot where your toes start pinches/constricts a bit too much. Super tight. 1/2 size up feels great. Love the channel! I watch all the reviews. 😊
I agree you don’t have to buy every Jordan shoes that come out. Me and my son just had this conversation on the cherry 11s and he asked me why I didn’t get them. I said they’re cool and probably fire for his generation but Im waiting the cherry 12s and taxis. Jordan will have you but like 20 pairs before they drop what you want. It’s ok to wait. Thanks bro

Its crazy bcus i dont think the cardinals ever sold out i remember back in 2011 them sitting for a little bit like they are now, it still didn’t stop me from copping a pair tho. The quality on them is amazing and close to true to the og pair.

I like the upgrades the full length top loaded air unit makes tissue 10 times more comfortable. This is one of the most comfortable Jordans besides the 11s because of the upgrades.

Had the OGs in 1992, my first “good” shoe-they’re long gone now but I still have the box. I had to pay half because they cost way more than the $50 or so my mom would pay towards shoes back then. Another great video, can’t wait to get these!!
The last original I bought in H.S. in 1992...they were the most comfortable of all the Jordans I'd bought all through Junior High and High School. Originals looked identical in terms of the leather placements.

You are correct, you do not need to buy every pair of shoes, but a lot of people get hooked on the idea watching TH-camrs thinking that they must buy those shoes. I recommend you to everyone who are new to the shoe game, because what you do is tell us about the shoe before it comes out. Def have my eye on these. Personally I am a big fan of 7s , after 11s, 12s , 4s , 1s & 3s - 7s are the best of the rest imo. I like the silhouette and always found them very comfortable. Olympic 7s , Raptors and Hares I prefer more than the Cardinals in terms of OGs. But with not really seeing any of those any time soon (especially in terms of Olympics and Raptors) or rumors about them ; will most likely go for these Cardinals. Though seems we are getting to the time since they were last retroed where we should see the Olympics or Raptors 7s hopefully soon.
Really glad I was able to get hold of a pair of these, looking forward to wearing them next spring! Here in Europe these were sitting on SNKRS a pair of days.
I have gave missed to all other retro in the past and got this retro as well. The last one similar was from the reflective championship pack. I am happy I finally got them as this color reminds me so much of 90s bulls color scheme, with Jordan crowning the second title with it, just show elegance and class. This is the one between the Fire Red 3 as the shoe of the year from Nike. Very comfortable and close to the OG. No frills.
Surprisingly JD Sports over here in Tulsa, OK still has them despite being one of the colorways MJ wore on the court!

Though seems we are getting to the time since they were last retroed where we should see the Olympics or Raptors 7s hopefully soon.

I have gave missed to all other retro in the past and got this retro as well. The last one similar was from the reflective championship pack. I am happy I finally got them as this color reminds me so much of 90s bulls color scheme, with Jordan crowning the second title with it, just show elegance and class.
