    Asher & Gad, you could make a lot of money if your market your knowledge to the Ghaniaina Citizens and the Diaspora.

    This guy has an excellent insight, vast knowledge and experience working as either a construction manager, or project manager, may be a structure engineer role 🤔 perhaps architect. Possibly a lecturer in Quantity surveying 😉. Who said ....a site managerial role? Which is which ?

    Hi,
    Many thanks for your tips on how we should safely wire and protect our homes in Ghana. I think you're the best on TH-cam in the country if not across the continent. Do you offer an inspection(snagging) and advisory service?

    Thanks for this. Sometimes the current from electricity board is just too high even without any lightning strikes (at least in Nigeria), so I need to install a surge protective in my home.

      A bacia multi meter set to OHMS will be enough. Alternatively a multifunctional electrical testing machine which a top electrician will have an all be used.

    This is a subject I was contemplating the entire week. My Electrician had recommended that I install a lightening arrester, which I believe is the same as the lightening protection system you described. However, I wasn't sure if it was necessary, especially with the money involved. I was actually going to side bar you on this to get your thoughts; and voilà, you addressed it. I still haven't made my mind up if I should move forward with it. Your final advice please.

    I would you want to knw if u need a rod at every corner of the wall of it's just one rod for the lightning arrestor linked together for the rods coming up from the rod up there

    • @kingstal90
      @kingstal90  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is down to design and engineering. There is a science behind this and a risk-assessment also. It depends on the nature of your roof. Your designer will need to look into that for you and advise. It is not a straightforward answer neither a one size fits all answer. The need for lightning protection also depends on the area you live in, the buildings around you/ their height, etc. history of lightning strikes in the area, etc, etc

  • @bennbiney3690
    @bennbiney3690 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    And again u did mention of surge arrestor I want to know if that's will only work in the case of lightning or it works when we are experiencing a high voltage cos u know here in Ghana cases of voltage fluctuations is a common thing that's why I'm asking thanks
