I’m a Joe D defender. His biggest mistakes were not moving on from mistakes. Keeping Zach so long and sticking with coaches. I do think Woody had something to do with that and anyone interviewing for GM should be asking plenty of questions.
I don't like Woody Johnson meddling. That being said JD was a good general manager but his flaw was staying with Zach and signing Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams
The poor communication between ownership, management, and coaching is a huge issue. Maybe the should watch other teams that’s are consistently competitive and take notes. It all starts with ownership people!
If I had to say, it makes sense for the contract extension to be offered around well after the Aaron Rodgers trade. That timeline makes a little sense. You can make an argument that this is when Woody lost trust in JD not being committed, but at the end of the day, you hired football guys, let them make football decisions!
I said it on numerous occasions. Woody Johnson is the one that picked Zach Wilson. Woody Johnson wanted Aaron Rodgers. Why the hell would I sign a contract extension knowing that I’m losing power within the organization and be someone else’s puppet? Makes no sense!
Well, it seems that Woody Johnson is more than just an owner. Jets weren't in the playoffs because, 1) Bad Luck. Several key Jets players got injured. Medical staff treatments weren't good. 2) JD picked the wrong person to be HC. He was so ill prepared to be a HC and he didn't select good assistants.
Bring in Liam coen please and sign Justin fields. Build the defense and draft a tight end please. Maybe some offense line depth. Dennis Allen for dc please.
For the Oline they do need one starter RT, and some to compete for backup roles. At least one TE. A CB and safties. Who the coaches will be depend on the new regime.
I definitely wanted to move on from Joe Douglas I feel like he was way too complacent on a lot of things last year was the backup quarterback position this year the kicker situation and not getting the offensive line together until this year but he did hit some home runs when it came to the draft in 2022 , but overall he's been here for 6 years and we have not have one winning season
If this report is true, it means Woody drafted Zach, Traded Sam and signed AR
@@TonydaGM YEAP!
Woody wanted his own guy since he never was around when Sam was drafted and he wanted to reset the contract. It makes sense!
@@TonydaGM Seems more believable.

No man his flaw is they didn't win fucking games, holy shit wtf planet you people living on?
Staying with Zach? Woody Johnson admitted to making/forcing the trade for Adam’s?
@@JR_Donofrio There's enough good and bad to argue why he should have stayed or gone but I think he could have done well for us.
Joe Douglas hired this coaching staff

Who really knows why. I won't join the crowd in guessing it was because of woody, but it's interesting information.

All this proves is that the Jets are a dumpster fire clown show organization more than their fans want to believe
