From every channel on TH-cam,all reviews point to the craftsman being better then all others,even Dyson.
Yes, total ownership of the Craftsman points to it being the 'best'. I think the new Dysons are more powerful but clog easier. The V20 is an order of magnitude easier to clean. So who has the best 'power delivery for the lifetime'? My vote is V20.

This Craftsman V20 is a beast.... Just picked one up. Plus got it at Lowes for $149 ( also received a military discount of $15) -down to $135 and a free additional 2ah battery. This vac works awesome and would pit it against a Dyson in terms of performance.

I saw this Craftsman, "stick vacuum" today at Lowe's and couldn't find any review videos on it except for yours... good looking out!

I just bought the craftsman and it's incredible! Plus if you upgrade the battery it can run a long time on high

@@ToolHombre we got the craftsman and it really is a much better vac than our dyson10. the battery last for about 30-40 mins so we got the extended 4hr battery and wow, it last a good 1.5-2.0 hrs even on carpet. excellent machine and the junk empties much easier out of the canister.

Since your the only youtuber making videos with these 2 vacuums it would be nice to see them being used on carpets in the house since it looks like people really would like to use these as there main vacuums.
Thank you for the comment. We will definitely be doing a household practicality video. This was more to show how tough a job you can throw at each one and still be easy to empty/clean and get back to it. I feel the Craftsman won that.
Also, though we don't have it on video yet, both of these models struggle with deep, soft carpet. I would classify these as 'rug' heads as opposed to carpet heads.
If you have a house full of deep, soft carpet, I'm definitely not ready to endorse either of these for your only vacuum solution. But we intend to get to the bottom of that.

@@livefootagetube yeah. Getting one for Christmas as the upstairs unit, since our regular upright is a 22-lb tank. Plus getting two other tools on the Craftsman V20 line this Christmas including a cordless drill so there's battery commonality.

far as the batteries i love how the craftsman battery comes off i like how i can put any 20v craftsman batter in it and put the batter on the charging port especially if you are buying big batteries
It’s a subjective thing, but I agree. The V20 batteries have a ‘premium feel’ to them.
hmm i do commercial cleaning the craftsman does a really good job battery life is excellent
Lowe’s is having a killer Black Friday deal on the Craftsman stick vac until 12/2/20. $50 off the regular price plus a free extra battery, which is an additional $70 value.
Nobody is going to be using it in their garage... how about a real test in the house. Let's see if it folds flat to vacuum under beds and couches. I want to know if it compares to my Dyson stick, because my Dyson battery is going dead and the Craftsman V20 has a good deal at Lowes over Black Friday. And that Craftsman has up to a 1 hour battery - that sounds great!

*Disclaimer: the 1 hour with the Craftsman on the 2Ah battery is likely because it can switch the brush head off, whereas the Ryobi head is on 100% of the time. I'm skeptical of a full hour of carpet brush with the 2Ah as sold.

@@ToolHombre definitely eyeing up that Craftsman stick vac as a possible Christmas present, in addition to a Craftsman drill, both using the same V20 system.
I would also like to see how it stacks up to a Dyson. I want a cordless vac to work on hardwood floors and low pile carpet. A plus for the Craftsman is that it will open the door to more tools in the Craftsman V20 line. I have the old Craftsman 19.2 line and maybe its time to swap these tools out. I also like the fact that you can swap out the batteries. However if Dyson is better for inside the home by leaps and bounds I will suck it up (pardon the expression) and get the $300+ investment.
Lowe's just knocked $50 off the regular price and is including an extra 2 ah battery for Black Friday deals.

Hopefully Kobalt will keep expanding their line, and branch into smaller appliances like this. Their newest stuff has all been very impressive.
I think I saw on the Kobalt Instagram page where they released a 24V Max scooter that runs runs off of the 24V Max batteries. Irrelevant I know but I figured I'd share...
I also saw a 'Powerwheels' kids jeep that runs off the Kobalt 40V lawn equipment battery.
@@ToolHombre Exactly. They marked it down too. It was originally $299 now it's $249. Its "little sister" the 24V Razor/Kobalt scooter got marked down from $179 to $129, another $50 reduction. Shame they aren't selling better since they look like awesome toys, plus use the Kobalt battery systems.

Which vacuum is harder on the ears?
Ryobi is much more harsh sounding. Craftsman is quite livable.
Does the craftsman come with the wheels pre-installed or are they hidden somewhere in a compartment? I bought one and couldn’t find the wheels. Exchanged and I still couldn’t find the wheels, so I’m suspecting they’re in a hidden compartment and I just can’t find them.

After dropping the ryobi, the craftsman was a clear winner.
Haha. This was a bit of foreshadowing. After 3 months of ownership, this is a surprisingly common issue due to the odd shape of the Ryobi. It doesn't stand up on the carpet head, it doesn't lean up against walls. Basically you can put it on the wall charger, or set it on the floor.
The Craftsman seems more well thought out.

We'll be sure to measure the decibel level on the next test, but I didn't find the noise level to be too high on the Craftsman. I think that you would be okay in a restaurant setting.

Neither is terribly loud, but the Ryobi is high pitched and can be annoying.
Once you get them in the house Craftsman is about average sound for a stick vacuum, corded or cordless. We use the V20 more than our corded due to the convenience.
The Black and Decker version of the Craftsman vacuum has a wall mount charger.
I had one. The motor in mine broke in a month.
