Your upbringing really shapes the way a child grows up. Marlon Brando certainly had a not so great childhood, which is such a tragedy in itself. His confidence was deeply affected by his father who would tell him on a dailey basis that he would amount to nothing but Marlon seemed to counteract at least some of it. He had Uber Gorgeous looks & was the very best actor in film/cinema history. He always appeared very cool, calm, collected and confident. He was also one very smart guy who knew at least something about every subject. His curiosity made him a voracious reader. He was always very eager to find out new things. Brando was an excellent dancer & drummer ( he took lessons from Katherine Dunham's Wonderful Dance School) He had several patents to his name. His mind & intelligence were always more then a few steps ahead of the pack. Brando was always an impeccable dresser. Just seeing him in an article of clothing was enough to make people go out and by it. In the movie the "Wild One" the leather jacket he wore (a Shott Perfecto 618) sold continuously right after that movie. You can most certainly say that Marlon Brando was way ahead of his time. BTW Shott Perfecto's are the best leather jackets. I have one & wouldn't trade it for the world, it still looks like the day I bought it. Wouldn't be seen in anything other than a Perfecto.

They went into a little club with live music and Marlon was on stage with the band playing congas. Seeing him here doing that reminded me of Mack's story. Different world back then.

He was a phenomenal method actor. But he was a very damaged man. He treated women like shit and yet at the same time had a vulnerability, which I'm sure helped him in his acting ability...he also had a deep affection for indigenous people and defended them fiercely.
