Thanks helps technicial idiots like me! Dankeschön.
so i got it done. with longer Philips head screw and washer. Used a stubby screw driver made the job possible.
Thanks for the straightforward instructions. I see you used the original bolts to install it at the top part. I'm having trouble making those bolts work though. Seems they're too short, but since I saw that they worked for you, I will keep trying. Thanks again.
Once again Samuel sorry for the late reply, yes I used the original bolts and it wasn't easy, perseverance paid off in the end though, I must say I'd be lost without the leather side panel bag now though, lol, RSM8.
Good evening. Great video! Watching from Philippines.
Thankyou it's most appreciated.
I am a new owner of the intercept 2022. Do you, or anyone else have ideas for a lock box to mount to bike? Doesnt need to be big. BTW thanks for the helpful video. There are not many options here in the states yet. None of those retailers ,except for wingman I think, how to attach side bags.
ebay has a bunch of options. That's where I got mine.
Cheers David, this was an ebay special, but has for a lock box I haven't seen one yet, I did see one guy who had a pelican case on a rear rack on his interceptor but to be honest it looked terrible, but if your not bothered about looks then it worked for him, RSM8.
Just grate very nice
Thanks Phillip, I love it, very useful,
Looks great bud very useful bit off kit
Cheers Sy, sorry I missed your comment with everything thats been going on, P,S, hope the ankles OK, RSM8.
Just bought one of these direct from an Indian seller. Didn't come with any mounting holes though. Looks like I'll either need to find a template or create one myself to punch the holes out myself. 🤞
Damn that must have been a pain to fit hope it all worked out for you in the long run, and you got the holes in the right place, sorry for the late reply, RSM8.
@@SkeggyCruiser no worries! It actually worked out fine. The bag itself isn't as rigid and a bit more floppy. But I just used a punch and mounted it to the same mounting bolts and like 2" circumference washers for stability.
Good job brother looks great!
Cheers brother, I must say I love the looks of it and it's so useful, think I've sorta got used to having the panniers on these days so I can't carry alot but every little helps, RSM8.
I ordered one in brown . I got a job ahead of me 😂
Good job mate. Time for a beer 🍺
Hahaha! cheers bro, I like your way of thinking, RSMF.
looks cool but taking it off and putting back on for maintenance as the battery is behind it seems very troublesome
Cheers buddy, yeah i totally agree, hopefully i wont need to remove it too often though, thanks & RSM8.
It’s always a matter of fumbling when installing short bolts on a bike mate. That bag looks awesome 👍🍻
It sure is bro, I'm pretty sure I could have put slightly longer bolts in, but ya know that attitude of I've started it now so it will go in, lol, cheers Rob RSM8.
I mounted a trunk where the pillion seat would normally be on my 1300 V Star Deluxe. I used the holes where the backrest upright would be and the rear seat bracket holes so that no new holes needed to be drilled in the mudguard/fender. That way it can go back to stock at any time with no extra holes in the fender. Do you still have the Stratoliner ?
Nice, not a bad idea by the sounds of it, I wouldn't mind seeing a pick of that conversion, totally agree with no new holes and being able to put it back to stock anytime, yes still got the stratoliner, I was trying not to use it too much through the winter as it takes more cleaning, lol, cheers bud, RSM8.
@@SkeggyCruiser Hi. I put you in my address book so you can delete your email address now. Thanks
Nice one mate. That looks good just a bugger to fit 😄. I think you're right about the screen and the cover for the clocks it will stop alot of crap getting in there. Rsmf take care.
Yep! it totally was bro, I was doing a fare bit o cursing, if I'd replaced the bolts with some about 5mm longer I think it would have gone straight away, plus I should have left the three bolts joining the locking plate to the leather with a bit of movement until the end me thinks, The screens spot on just enough to keeps the fly's off the back of the clocks without ruining the looks, cheers Rob RSM8.
So I’m in East Texas and really really close to buying a meteor 350. They don’t have the new classic here yet and the 650s are never in stock. Also considering the Himalayan as we do live in the country. Anyway wondering if you Sir have any thoughts on the meteor???
Firstly, I appllogies for the late reply, secondly it's probably good i did as i now have an answer as my 81 year father has just purchased the R E Meteor in fireball red on wednesday, so no doubt it will be featuring on the channel, my main concern with the meteor 350 & the Classic 350 is the top speed, as it's reportedly around 74mph so prolonged highway riding could be a bit of a drag, however having sat on them both on wednesday i was more than impressed, i've done a himalayan review and loved it, but just couldn't resist the charm of the interceptor, hope this helps, thanks and RSM8.
Skeggy Cruiser Hey Brother no worries 👍 So as much as I love RE we couldn’t make a deal at our local dealership. You see they also sell BMW and Triumph so when I went in there wanting to buy an Enfield we just weren’t top on their priority list I guess 🤷♂️ However our local Honda dealership was more than happy to sell me a 2022 Honda CMX 500 Rebel in the new Pearl Organic Green! and I must say for only a 500cc it really scoots my friend😎 enough for me anyway. Thanks for the reply, hope your Father enjoys his new Beautiful Meteor and talk to you soon brother! God Bless
I got my intercept in coco Florida. Want to get to meteor 650 but ti wasnt coming to states for a while. The dealership was skypower sports. They are authorized dealer and repair. If you were looking to get another bike I think they can ship it or send one unboxed.
Does it fit on the other side?
No it doesn't fit the other side as it's not uniform in shape bud, to be honest I don't think I've even seen them for sale for the left side.
@@SkeggyCruiser Sad! I like the idea of symmetry!
@@steveaga4683 me too buddy, i actually messaged the seller for the other side but as of yet not heard anything.
Biker's version of a Scottish sporran.
Hahaha! ya not wrong there mi duck, lol,
It looks great Skeggy can you put a helmet in it 😂
I suppose it would depend on which helmet you are talking about ;)
@@KarlTheDingbat Or head Karl 😁
Only those sorta folding ones buddy, any good at origami lol,
Surly it will always be catching something
Nope! I must say it quite surprised me but nope, I would imagine that if my legs were a tad shorter, then I'd have problems with it but so far it's perfick buddy.
Sorry Skeggy, not a fan of this mod.
Sorry James totally missed your comment, had alot of personal stuff going on, mum passed away, I understand this ain't everyones cuppa tea, but so far it's been very useful, RSM8.
@@SkeggyCruiser My sincere condolences Skeggy. A very tough time for you.
