Not only the hand incident in RE8, but also the fact that Ethan could use his hand after just being stapled and reattach his leg after Jack cuts it off in two different possibilities with the help of just a first aid hints towards his regenerative abilities, not to mention that time when Jack uses his knife on Ethan's mouth. I don't know if the leg cutting sequences are canon or not

What a story what an explanation man, Piers Nivens in RE 6, Ethan winters in RE 7 & 8, They both are legends, both will be remembered for their selfless sacrifices, One is true warrior, true soldier, True human, true Friend, One is true human, true husband, true father, truly these RE games are much much better than Any Movies, in every format, i will be a die hard fan of the whole RE series.

There is a theory that ethan is still alive as there was a person when the car in which rose was going with a bsaa agent there a man similar to ethan appeared maybe ethan survived the explosion or he might have been captured by connections before getting exploded as they told that rose is a perfect vessel for eva and they might have been seeing all the village incident
Also guys if Albert wesker was alive he could have defeated all these bosses in one go he will always be the special badass resident evil bosses of all time. What you guys think about this as well please comment
