Vince McMahon's biggest mistake: treating all of the WCW guys that came over like crap. Booker T, Steiner, Goldberg, Chuck Polumbo and Shaun O'hare (Natural Born Thrillers), DDP, and others. They had so much good talent and they squandered it. Now we're stuck with the same 3 main eventers each PPV.
Seeing Stacy Keibler posed like that makes me happy that WWE.com decided to have a special section on their Divas page called "Classic Divas." Stacy, Torrie and Trish Stratus were the divas of the good old days!
the hell kinda interviewer is this? sounds like a damn interrigation. it's like he just has a list of questions instead of actually speaking like a human being
Steiner got fired from TNA because they thought Flair was more important than him and in a recent interview he was asked if he would go back to WWE he said that if Vince offers him a contract he would love to give it one final run in WWE and Vince responded a couple of weeks later by saying that Steiner would be a great and well needed addition to the roster and that this would be his opportunity for a proper retirement and to join the HOF
He's actually talking about the invasion angle. Heel Austin was being sung to by the alliance, which is what put him off coming in at the time. He was right, it was horrendous.
@GLazz85 yeah next year Wrestlemania will be in Atlanta and Vince is planning on having a WCW themed event with Goldberg , Steiner , Hart , Booker , nWo and many more he said that personal feelings aside these men deserve to be inducted because of all their contributions that made the business a better place
Sting might get inducted but that depends on whether or not he is leaving TNA but Vince said that if he did he would be the main inductee because that would show that the Hall Of Fame isn't about what you have done for the WWE but what u have done for this business and considering that Sting never wrestled in WWE he would be perfect for the job and also there was talk about having a dream match between Sting and The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 27
It is clear to me that Vince cares more about "being right" even more than making a ton of money. Saying WCW was inferior to the WWE was what VInce wanted. By the way Stu Ungar, I counted 36 "ya knows" between 2:56 and 6:11.
Goldberg was crap and Steiner couldn't even walk without a limp on that bad foot by that time. Keep in mind that nobody in the business likes Goldberg. He is a complete douche backstage and takes himself too seriously. Chris Jericho kicked Goldberg's ass in a backstage fight. Look it up. Best Story Ever.
I always thought Steiner should have been pushed far more, no matter what a company thinks about another company, you have to recognize on a national stage, someone was pushed as a Monster heel or Monster face in a rival company that is nationalized televised then you should recognize and try to continue that push not try yo bury it. If he wasn't healthy enough you wait till they are too do so.. Steiner could have done alot more than shuffling the midcard with Test
It would be funny if Scott Steiner had a wrestlebuddy that talks when you pull the string, and it doesn't stop saying y'know until the battery runs out.
@TheMac1229 I also think him facing Steve Austin at WM instead of Scott Hall would have been better. I think those two could have had a long drawn out rivalry that might have prevented Austin from walking out. You could have also used him against Brock Lesner.
@Zigeunerweisen20 agreed, even if they had done like what they do for bragging rights now, the closest thing we had to wwe vs. wcw, was when wcw did wcw vs. new japan for the "world cup of wrestling" at starcade '95. the outcome was predictable but still had some dream matches for fans who followed both of those companies.
@Aaron25Ennis His Amateur Wrestling Career: Amateur wrestling * National Collegiate Athletic Association o 1983 Division I Big 10 - Fifth place[1] o 1984 Division I Big 10 - Runner up[1] o 1985 Division I Big 10 - Runner up[1] o 1986 Division I Big 10 - Runner up[1] o 1986 Division I All American - Sixth place[1] He wasn't Lou Thesz but he wasn't Hulk Hogan either.
The interviewer isn't too bright. Why would taking an 18 minute match to 28 minutes make someone look bad? Because Steiner was only prepared for 18 minutes. Even if he wasn't tired, he had prepared for an 18 minute match.
WCW almost put down WWF for good but then boom the attitude era begin! I use to for awhile just watch WCW because it was way better then WWF. Then i start to watch both before WCW went down.......
@Zigeunerweisen20 Let's face it though it wasn't really WCW vs WWE. WCW was now a part of the WWE and not a separate company like 1996. It wouldn't have been the same.
@Aaron25Ennis He used to be a pretty decent worker when he was tagged with Rick Steiner. He's always been muscular, but in the early 90's he was less bulky and much more athletic. I'd go so far to say that he was the most athletic big man at the time. During the late 90's, he gained a ton of muscle mass and could not do the athletic moves he used to do. Just for reference, go watch Steiner Bros vs Luger & Sting and youll see what Im saying.
@Y2J316HBK because wen wwe brought khali in he was this monster heel. over 7 foot tall. bigger than the big show. people would pay money to see him. hav there photo taken with him etc. he was an attraction. steiner was in his 40's with an injured back. his best days are behind him and he couldnt move. thats the difference.
@ontheroof99 Yea but they do what they have to do to keep up with all the work and to stay in shape if they wanna get paid the big bucks. But this guy just looks redicoulous he's just so big im suprised he's still alive.
1) Scott Hall was fired after he showed up to RAW drunk 2) Nash was doing fine until he tore his quad 3)Goldberg wanted another WCW run. WWE didn't do that because they actually build people and can't just feed someone 60 jobbers in a row. 4) So how exactly does a good talent in a longer match equal something bad? If you're good, 5 minutes is good, 10 minutes is great. If your match is bad because it was longer, it's your fault. 5) Steiner with a live mic? No wonder they scripted it.
@MagnesDrachen13 Of all the people you mentioned Scott was the only true championship caliber wrestler. He and his brother are REAL wrestlers not talkers or personalities. Scott hated having to carry non-wrestlers and both have a reputation of putting the hurt on personalities they were scripted to lose against just to show them the reality. This caused a lot of resentment especially in Scotts case. If it were real the Steiners would be like the Williams Sisters as Champs.
@DaneFalco They put him in the title picture, Steiner fucked up. Even if you take Steiner's word for it that HHH dragged out the match, Steiner surely could have done a move from his repertoire that wasn't a belly to belly every five seconds.
Leaves WWE because he gets buried. Goes to TNA and does....what exactly? When was the last time this guy held a major singles title? Last episode of Nitro?
@Zigeunerweisen20 to be honest the big named WCW wrestlers weren't really there. Can you imagine if guys like Sting, Goldberg, and other guys were apart of the storyline? That would be great but they weren't. sting would never sign with wwe, goldberg would be there for a year after the invasion and won the world title, booker t would win the world title, ric flair is in the hall of fame, DDP got a decent push before retiring. i do agree it should have been better then that!
I hate when these interviewers do the "Do you remember that match against..." Wrestlers aren't the fanboys these guys are, and I wish they would understand that so that they can stop wasting time and ask a real question to get an interesting answer. Like Steiner is going to remember a match against a midcarder like Nowinski. And if he did, so what? What importance is there about Chris Nowinski?
@samouha95 Vince says a lot of things. Really theres a WCW themed hall of fame coming? Where did you hear this. Theres so many first ballot inductees that are deserving. Ex. Nash,Hall,Ron Simmons,Sting, Steiner Bros,Vader, Harlem Heat,
@Zigeunerweisen20 That's so true. It should have been WCW/ECW vs WWE. Not WCW/ECW gets fed to WWE. That's where WWE dropped the ball by basically feeding guys like DDP to the Undertaker. Those guys got squashed. Badly! DDP got screwed over the most if you ask me.
Yes and the WWE today is right there with them. You like make a wish segments, team hell no, and a bland product then be my guest. But don't defend stupid story lines or angles to make yourself look like a cool mark.
@Zigeunerweisen20 speak for urself please. What makes u think it would have been the biggest angle of wrestling? What makes u think everyone would want to see wwe vs wcw? Anything gets boring if it streches for too long.
@stoy1000 And by the way...Sting right now is a better performer than Undertaker and he's older for god sake! How is it that Sting needs to take less time off than Undertaker who only wrestles a couple matches and then leaves for a year?
@stoy1000 Actually...WCW had 18 months when it was better than WWE. Look up your history and your statistics. As a matter of fact, you're more than welcomed to read "The Death Of WCW". I wouldn't take Hogan and Nash's word on anything. Those two are two of the people that caused WCW's downfall. Hogan for getting paid so much money and never putting anybody over and Nash for his backstage politics and booking WCW into oblivion. Yes, Nash was in charge of booking for a while.
His first match with HHH is one of the worst matchups ever. But Scott was right that Vince screwed over all of the WCW guys. Look at poor DDP. But Scott made things worse for himself, he was just awful in his return. Shame, he used to b the man.
4:35 "I wasn't tired", you certainly were at No Way Out Scotty. You nearly collapsed.
And that is the reason, why WWE has become so boring. Controll Freaks.
i could turn this into a drinking game… take a drink each time Steiner says y'know
I think you may drown trying. : o
Preach brother.
triple h buried steiner, he had to be on top, they treated goldberg like crap too.
Yes...We know Scott =)
Seeing Stacy Keibler posed like that makes me happy that WWE.com decided to have a special section on their Divas page called "Classic Divas." Stacy, Torrie and Trish Stratus were the divas of the good old days!
the hell kinda interviewer is this? sounds like a damn interrigation. it's like he just has a list of questions instead of actually speaking like a human being
Steiner drinking game....
take a drink every time he says, "ya know?"
Steiner got fired from TNA because they thought Flair was more important than him and in a recent interview he was asked if he would go back to WWE he said that if Vince offers him a contract he would love to give it one final run in WWE and Vince responded a couple of weeks later by saying that Steiner would be a great and well needed addition to the roster and that this would be his opportunity for a proper retirement and to join the HOF
and i quote "you know"
@Carwreckriddles
lol, yeah Steiner says "you know" like a million times
He's actually talking about the invasion angle. Heel Austin was being sung to by the alliance, which is what put him off coming in at the time. He was right, it was horrendous.
yes, I know. thanks for asking.

Brave interviewer, he doesn't let Scott sidestep shit.
It is clear to me that Vince cares more about "being right" even more than making a ton of money. Saying WCW was inferior to the WWE was what VInce wanted. By the way Stu Ungar, I counted 36 "ya knows" between 2:56 and 6:11.
why does he say "you know" after every sentence
Why the fuck does that matter? It's just the way how he talks.
Half this interview is him saying "you know?"...you know?
Goldberg was crap and Steiner couldn't even walk without a limp on that bad foot by that time.
Keep in mind that nobody in the business likes Goldberg. He is a complete douche backstage and takes himself too seriously.
Chris Jericho kicked Goldberg's ass in a backstage fight.
Look it up.
Best Story Ever.
His limp gimmick was over
Stacy valet'd for Scott when he came bacl to WWE
I always thought Steiner should have been pushed far more, no matter what a company thinks about another company, you have to recognize on a national stage, someone was pushed as a Monster heel or Monster face in a rival company that is nationalized televised then you should recognize and try to continue that push not try yo bury it. If he wasn't healthy enough you wait till they are too do so.. Steiner could have done alot more than shuffling the midcard with Test
Thumbs up if you came to this movie only for the picture
@ManicRaider :P :P
Nice DP by the way dude...
Freaky... ;)
It would be funny if Scott Steiner had a wrestlebuddy that talks when you pull the string, and it doesn't stop saying y'know until the battery runs out.
The segment where Austin and Rock sang Jimmy Buffet waa way greater than anything big steroid freak ever did in his career.
The most unattainable of my bucket list items; wrecking Kiebler
@TheMac1229 I also think him facing Steve Austin at WM instead of Scott Hall would have been better. I think those two could have had a long drawn out rivalry that might have prevented Austin from walking out. You could have also used him against Brock Lesner.
Stacy Kiebler. Oh my!
@GLazz85 Vince said that he would induct him next year in the WCW themed Hall Of Fame
@Aaron25Ennis His Amateur Wrestling Career:
Amateur wrestling

o 1984 Division I Big 10 - Runner up[1]
o 1985 Division I Big 10 - Runner up[1]
o 1986 Division I Big 10 - Runner up[1]
o 1986 Division I All American - Sixth place[1]
He wasn't Lou Thesz but he wasn't Hulk Hogan either.
Too bad for ol Scotty not getting his last title run in the WWE thanks to Vince.
The interviewer isn't too bright. Why would taking an 18 minute match to 28 minutes make someone look bad? Because Steiner was only prepared for 18 minutes. Even if he wasn't tired, he had prepared for an 18 minute match.
just cause he's a piece of shit doesnt mean we're not friends y'know. xD
@samouha95 No sting? He might deserve it more than all of them
WCW almost put down WWF for good but then boom the attitude era begin! I use to for awhile just watch WCW because it was way better then WWF. Then i start to watch both before WCW went down.......
i only clicked vid for the pic
@StuUngar try to watch the undertaker's ufc interview
He still isn't bad.
So, what did you come up with?
@Zigeunerweisen20 Let's face it though it wasn't really WCW vs WWE. WCW was now a part of the WWE and not a separate company like 1996. It wouldn't have been the same.
@Aaron25Ennis He used to be a pretty decent worker when he was tagged with Rick Steiner. He's always been muscular, but in the early 90's he was less bulky and much more athletic. I'd go so far to say that he was the most athletic big man at the time.

I don't know.
@ontheroof99 Yea but they do what they have to do to keep up with all the work and to stay in shape if they wanna get paid the big bucks. But this guy just looks redicoulous he's just so big im suprised he's still alive.
What kept wcw from winning against the wwf was Teds Business partner sold the company out from under him
how many times can 1 person say "ya know" sorry if thats all you hear after reading this
@tottiballbag10 then y would they keep a guy like khali?
1) Scott Hall was fired after he showed up to RAW drunk
2) Nash was doing fine until he tore his quad
3)Goldberg wanted another WCW run. WWE didn't do that because they actually build people and can't just feed someone 60 jobbers in a row.
4) So how exactly does a good talent in a longer match equal something bad? If you're good, 5 minutes is good, 10 minutes is great. If your match is bad because it was longer, it's your fault.

look the arm of that man a look the arm of her!!!! :D
I wonder if George Clooney has seen this picture.... :O :O
i wouldnt blame scott man that misused him in the wwe and they treated his character like shit
Pittsburgh newspaper that said you know
You don't need chemistry to kiss Stacy Keibler.
Steiner is gonna recline her.
if u took a shot of whiskey for every 'ya know' in this video, u'd be wasted by the time it's over.....
@samouha95 i need a link or im calling shinaningans, vince and HHH think Steiner sucks..
00:01
Leaves WWE because he gets buried. Goes to TNA and does....what exactly? When was the last time this guy held a major singles title? Last episode of Nitro?
U know ...so ..my lawyer ... you know, so....you know. ..my lawyer you know, plus I you know ... I could see you know

12 people don't like Steiner.... "ya know"
Holy F*** he had to say ya know intentionally that many times...there`s no way that;s an accident
@samouha95 Vince says a lot of things. Really theres a WCW themed hall of fame coming? Where did you hear this. Theres so many first ballot inductees that are deserving. Ex. Nash,Hall,Ron Simmons,Sting, Steiner Bros,Vader, Harlem Heat,

who is she ??
I know.
you know!
While he makes some good points, Scott Steiner has talked so much sh*t for so many yrs, it's almost impossible to believe anything he says.
@iacubs halla! if ya hear me
@Zigeunerweisen20
speak for urself please. What makes u think it would have been the biggest angle of wrestling? What makes u think everyone would want to see wwe vs wcw? Anything gets boring if it streches for too long.
Why does it matter how tall the writers are? O.o lol
who ??
George Clooney is lucky!
But do you know though?
@ontheroof99 I remember him being injured but I also remember him being boring and totally unwatchable after 1993.
whos the girl?
YOU KNOW
ya know 245 times wtf???
@stoy1000

@kybelian Neither of them were better "real" wrestlers than Angle or Lesnar so I doubt that.
