I have a Apollo gater opener 1500 with 365 board I believe. I have the same issue like you have. Turn out to be a bad relay on the board. So instead of spend $ 450.00 for the board. I test the motor by jumping direct 12 v to see it still extract and retract. If you jump positive from battery to positive on the motor and negative from battery to negative on motor. It should extract if you jump them in reverse then motor will retract. My motor still good so I went on Amazon and order the dual relay universal board with two remote control for $16.00 and hook my motor to it with toogle switch mode on the remote. My gate now working but without limits switch. So you just hit the button and wait till it opens to certain positions you desired the hit the button again then it stop. And to go the other way you hit other button and to the same. The remote have A&B button.
Great video! Do you know what screws to remove to access the spur gears? I would like to grease mine. Also, what size "O" rings did you use to replace the seals? That was a good idea.
To get access to what I call the "gear box", you must take the motor retention post nuts off I point to on the front that are missing the plastic cover on the outside of the front below the shaft. Then you have to take the two tower plate screws out that sit to the left and right of the motor on the inside of the case. Then the case will split. Do not over tighten the motor nuts when you reassemble. As there is actually a procedure they do at the factory to tighten those nuts...that procedure can be summarized as only tighten to where the motor turn good. Do not tighten until the motor binds... ;)
O ring I just pulled out of the ring tray I keep. Not sure, but just take the cap to the hardware store to find a good fat fit. Also, those metal screw caps are not sold or manufactured anymore. They have been superseded with a snap in style plastic cap that will require silicon. New caps suck!!!
Check out the other videos I have on my gate. If you need I could make a private video of that build sheet. Also, please like and subscribe, I am trying to grow my channel... th-cam.com/video/rQW9RymynO4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vDzpdm1IHdX89-2z
@@arboyd81 I was a gear machinist for 15 years. It's important to keep a .002" amount of backlash between the pinion and spur gear to prevent binding. Thanks for the answer!

Very creative solution!

Wish I could email you the build sheet I obtained from the factory on these...
