I have found that a 5x5 in a speed squat scenario will give your legs a pump and build thickness of the muscle. I think people get hung up on rep schemes staying within the same 4x15 or whatever it may be for hypertrophy but you can get the same effect with lower reps depending on the situation!
Now on your dynamic day when you say your working off a certain percentage what are you basing that percentage off off if your constantly changing workouts ie different bars, range of motion etc?
So it would be based on your comp max UNLESS you are using a bar that you are very bad with and there is a large discrepancy ... then just use your max with that particular bar to find your percentage
the video is pretty old and also bare bones. I have a lot of info about reps on the Instagram page. People get very caught up in the verbiage of things. When i trained at westside louie never once called something the "repetition method"... it was just reps. Sometimes we did them, sometimes we didnt do as many. I dont even refer to the days as max effot and dynamic effort anymore. It is just deadlift/heavy bench/squat/secondary bench.
I would say all of those things could be done as upper body accessories . The bicep curls could be done at the end of a deadlift workout. As long as you are putting them in where you feel recovered, they are fine to shift on to different days
@@triggerwarningconjugate dude you're awesome for answering all my questions. I've been training mostly on machines for the 3 years I've been lifting. I have a nice physique but I'm bored of looking strong instead of actually being strong. I got extremely lucky and was able to get a power rack for the my basement and a reasonable amount of weight before everything went out of stock. I figure it's time to finally attack all my weaknesses and get stronger at The big three. Been dying to try out the conjugate method and now that I got bandz Chainz some fat gripz on the way. I can. Going to work on getting a Swiss bar as well. Your video is perfect and easy to understand. thanks so much. My max bench as of the other day is 190. I'll check back in a month or two with an update. Thanks again and wish you and your loved ones well 🙏
This is a beautiful explaination of conjugate!

More videos like this. Super helpful. Thank you very much!
Glad it helped!
When would you add in a "3 rep max" on max effort upper days?
@@Clover.field618 i would say every 2 or 3 months

Thank you brother! Appreciate all the insight! New to this method of training but excited to start! Thanks again and happy holidays
Best ever!
What about the repetition effort portion of the conjugate training method ? Not much is mentioned in the video on this part.

Furmax lower day for the 3 rep max do I do a 3 rep max for both The squat and the deadlift or do I only do one or do I alternate
pick one of them! Then alternate!
@@triggerwarningconjugate thanks so much! Just got some bands in today.. waiting for chains. Really excited to start conjugate
On which of these four days would I program pullups, rows, biceps curls things like that

@@triggerwarningconjugateawesome thanks. Should I rest completely on rest days?
@@robertseara3517 I and not a HUGE fan of extra workouts so on an off day, if you dont have a very clear objective, I recommend just resting
