It's a program called Machromedia Flash 8. You use whats called "motion tweens" these allow you to manipulate the movement of a sprite in pretty much any way you desire.
well, it was my 1st sprite battle with that program, so I was quite inexperienced at the time. It was alittle challenging, but it was still pretty fun.

When you select a movie clip in the actual project, it should be in the "Properties" area. There should be 2 black bars near the bottom of the screen with the lowest one sectioned into "Properties: Filters: Parameters". Just select the movie clip, the the properties section, and the "Blend" option will be near the bottom right of that section.
Wow it's super awesome for a sprite battle on flash.Most of the sprite "Goku vs Vegeta" fights i've seen only had blur and super mental crazy attacks and they recover as if it was nothing and in this one, attacks weren't as much repetitive and attacks that i never seen in sprite battles it's pretty darn good
Ah, thats a good choice. I always wanted to make a vid with Broly as well. Unfortunately, there aren't any Jump Stars styled models of him (those are my favorite types of sprites lol), so I'll have to make my own. Do you have flash?
well when I first got started, I used the tutorials from ifureadthisdie. His tut ivds are fantastic for beginners. I used them for a few days and after I made my Gohan Transformation vid, I learned the rest on my own. You can find him on either my friends list or subscribers list.

Well, I was tempted to put in more fighters, but then I decided to center it around just Goku and Vegeta. I figured that adding too many characters in one fight would take away from the central focus.

You convert each bitmap of the beam into a movie clip. Then go to the "Blend" option and select the "Lighten" or "Screen" and the black will disappear. But when you do this, make certain there is an image behind the beam sprites, otherwise you can't see it.
don't worry. You just got it, so all you have to do is practice and you'll get it in no time. I don't have any tut vids but there's a ton of them for Flash on youtube. That's how I got started, and I learned it pretty quickly.
Thanks dude. That was just a manipulation of the alpha. I put layers under the Vegeta sprite with far less alpha, and made them attack a few frames after the initial attack. It's quite easy, actually. And ufortunately I no longer have that program. I deleted it a few months ago. There sould be a tut on youtube that tells you where to download it for free.

I would love to, but I don't have any JUS Broly sprites. I started making my own custom JUS Broly sprites, but his sheet won't be done or a looooong time lol. Considering that I'm making it from scratch.
Well, I'll probably be remaking this, just to see how far I've improved. But although I appreciate the suggestions, I actually already have it planned out, in terms of who is the victor, and how they win.
Yeah, I used Flash to make this. The logo in the corner is a converter. TH-cam doesn't allow us to upload flash files (which sucks), so you have to convert it to the correct type of media file. Unfortunately, that symbol can't be removed. You'll see it on alot of flash vids like this one. At some point, you'll see it so often, that you won't even pay it any attention lol.
I think I understand what you're asking. You're asking which layer you put the Vcam on, yes? You must make certain that the Vcam has a layer of it's own. And always have the Vcam on the very bottom layer. If that is not what you meant, please let me know.
I'll be posting a vid for Vegeta's victory very soon. I've had it done for a long time (the same time I finished this vid), but I never got around to upoading it for some reason. And thanks :)

Ah, the beam struggle part. Well, I got most of the effects from a Mugen program called "Fighter Factory". Then I edited them alittle on Flash.
