    Positive pregnancy test, now what? In this video I break down all the need to know information about that first prenatal visit. Prenatal care helps to reduce illness, complications and death rates related to pregnancy. Here are some free resources for those who need them: English (800) 311-BABY . Spanish (800) 504-7081. @thatnursingprof Would it be appropriate to decline the pelvic exam?

    • @thatnursingprof2661

      You have the right to refuse anything but the pelvic exam is done to assess for any abnormalities or signs of illness/infection that could complicate the pregnancy.

    Is your first prenatal visit with your family doctor or OBGYN?

    • @thatnursingprof2661
      @thatnursingprof2661  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They should do similar things. The family doctor might schedule an ultrasound separately whereas the OBGYN will have it ready in their office.
