Warren Demartini is most definitely slept on massively!! One of the best guitarists to come out of L.A. back then along with Eddie and Randy of course as well as George Lynch!!!
Say it LOUDER for the people in the back!!!!! These new cats need to know! Warren was a GOD back then. If you lived it, you know. If you didn't, well .. I'm sorry.
Ratt dressed the part, but they had actual TALENT, so I never lumped them in with the other hair metal bands in the 80's. They were a solid well rehearsed rock band. They actually played well-written songs. Out Of The Cellar is a very good competent album.
Bands I can't get enough of... besides Ratt Rush Scorpions Crüe Maiden Judas Priest Queensrÿche Saxon Cinderella Tesla Dio Triumph Sammy era Van Halen So reactions to any of those would definitely make ME happy...and would probably make a lot of other people happy, as well. 😉🤘🤘
I did not get to see them live until around 2005, I think. It was Ratt opening for Poison...yes, Ratt Poison. I was in high school when both bands were cranking out hits and I am not sure if Ratt actually played nearby where I grew up. I did see Warrant and Poison in '90, in my area. I just don't recall ever seeing Ratt touring nearby then.
"BURRRRCHHHH" Hey buddy, it's been a minute since I could login and comment. Hope all is well! Proud to be an early sub of the channel always! First, Ratt ROCKS!. Saw them at the M3 Rock Festival in Columbia MD. with Warren in the group. They slayed. Second, WHEN IS ALEXIS GONNA DROP THIS BABY??!!! My best wishes on a healthy newborn! XD
We thought you had gone into witness protection! 3 more weeks for the baby, not long now. Send me an email if you want a t-shirt. We are about to get that underway and I would like to give you one for being here all this time
Out of the Cellar and Invasion of Your Privacy were fairly big albums for this band. Way Cool Jr. might have been the last big video that aired on MTV back then. Good band with a heavy sound considering the Glam Rock era was taking over. Hard to go wrong with this band .
Way Cool Jr. is an awesome song BUT, not even close to being "the last big video played on MTV". It dropped in 1988. Nirvana didn't kill the metal video genre until 92'. That's an entire 4 years of videos since Jr. came out. Example: Van Halen had "Finish What You Started", GNR had "Patience" and in 1988.... Metallica had "One" and I PROMISE you, nothing touched "One" in 1988. NOTHING. It was the metal video of the year.
@@MacMc691 All good brother. I was just responding on how it was worded. You said "Way Cool Jr. might have been the last big video that aired on MTV" I appreciate your response back but you can see where the confusion might be?
Now you need to do Lack of Communication off the same album!! That was the second cassette lol, that I bought as a impressionable 7th grader lol!! Love the band.
GREAT PIC For the DAY... I gotta see RATT in Salina KS. 1985. Very First GIG on U.S.A. tour after Japan and Europe... On INVASION of PRIVACY TOUR. ... TOP MEMORY of Life. TAKE ME BACK....
Robin's nickname was King and he made the regular flying V guitar look small, so Jackson made the bigger V called the King V. I believe that's the story.
This was shot in my hometown of Tucson, AZ. It's at Old Tucson Studios where a lot of classic westerns were shot. They came into town for a show then stuck around to shoot the video.
Hey gus, excellent choice this video now brings me good memories; but back in my high school years in Sonora,Mexico it was one of the cooles videos! Thank you for bringing me back to those days!
I really like the song but the lack of a great guitar solo really hinders the song from being fantastic since it gets a little too repetitive. I never understood why since every other song contains a tasty solo.
So many of these 80s videos were so terrible. I always just preferred the playing on the stage videos. You know these guys felt like, "Damnit. We're really going to do this for this video"!!! But 80s Rock/Metal will always be THE BEST !!!!
recently saw Stephen Pearcy open for Night Ranger in Vegas, and he and his band played Out of the Cellar cover to cover...was shocked how many lyrics I still knew from songs buried in deep cut land like I'm Insane or Scene of the Crime. This one? It is an earworm and now, dammit, I am going to be singing it for at least a week. Every time I hear it...
I saw them in Downtown Clearwater about 10 years ago, right before STEPHEN PEARCY came back, had some young kid singing, only original member was the drummer
I see RATT three times middle 80’s early 90’s twice supporting OZZY on the Ultimate Sin Tour @ Newcastle City Hall and Newcastle Mayfair and then again @ the Mayfair Headlining they were Class every time R.I.P Robin Crosby(The King)
I looked back as far as I could on you tube. Have you heard home free sing man of constant sorrow. No instruments but the one guy does an awesome harmonica and drum set. It is kick ass
I probably will get slammed on this but, Ratt is one of my favorite bands, in the studio. Live, they sucked. Sound engineers they use and use to use, all suck. But, love all of their albums and songs. I listen to them at least once a week. You're in love, Way Cool Jr., Dead Reckoning, Luv Sick and lots and lots more. Warren is on my Mt. Rushmore also Birch. Love his style and his chops. He is Way Cool Jr..
love your channel, fam. always watching, especially the reactions to hard rock songs. do an aerosmith concert from the 70's, before their pop era. salute from Brazil!
As a guitarist, I still contend that the riff for Shame, Shame, Shame is the best riff Warren ever came up with. Sacrilege, I know, but I stand by the claim.
Love Ratt. Warren's sound is great. Ratt, Dokken, Tesla and LA Guns were my favorite 80s bands. I never liked Crue, which seemed to be the most popular at the time.

Absolutely. Warren was a beast in the 80s. So underrated as an axe man.
Warren's roommate, Jake E Lee was no slouch either.
Agree. Was always and still one of my fave lead guitarists.
Ratt, definitely a great group with a pleasing sound!🎶🎵🎶🎶
Out of the Cellar is such a great album, not one skip on it
RATT was always fun. A pop-ier song of theirs that I really like is "You're in Love".
My favorite song off this album has always been "I'm Insane". Thankfully Stephen played it live when I saw him late last year.
Robin used to play this song in San Diego when he was in the band Mac Meda.
"Lay It Down" has a pretty funny video.
Ratt dressed the part, but they had actual TALENT, so I never lumped them in with the other hair metal bands in the 80's. They were a solid well rehearsed rock band.

Bands I can't get enough of... besides Ratt
Rush
Scorpions
Crüe
Maiden
Judas Priest
Queensrÿche
Saxon
Cinderella
Tesla
Dio
Triumph
Sammy era Van Halen
So reactions to any of those would definitely make ME happy...and would probably make a lot of other people happy, as well. 😉🤘🤘
"I've lived the life of TEN men" RIP ROBIN CROSBY! The Riff master of RATT!!!!!!
King was the glue that kept those oversized egos together in the early days. When he left, they were never the same.
"Make sure that no one cries at my funeral"..
Love Ratt. One of the best from the 80's!
This song (and Leppard’s Rock of Ages) that hooked a 13 yo me and sent me on a decade long hair band journey!
Love seeing Burch seemingly being taken back to the days when these songs / videos were popular and in heavy rotation.
Nobody rides for free is my favorite Ratt N Roll song
Stephen Pearcy was in a band called Arcade my favorite song Nothin' to Lose.
My first concert was Iron Maid, Ratt and Accept (1984 I went for Ratt). Warren Di Martini is Top 10 all-time best guitar soloist for me.
In you direction
You're in trouble
The morning after
That whole album is 🔥
Great song, way cool Jr. is a awesome song. I seen Ratt in Dallas in 1988. Great Band

I think it was 1988 when I saw them, too. Poison opened up for them. Poison was awful.
Best Ratt video..."Your in love" Idea...My favorite video Kingdom Come...Get it on....please!!!!!! Love your work

It’s ROCK FRIDAY YAY. Ratt is classic rock with a twist.
Way Cool Jr. is an awesome song BUT, not even close to being "the last big video played on MTV". It dropped in 1988. Nirvana didn't kill the metal video genre until 92'. @@MetalMcfly It was a typo, nothing was said, a voice program wasn't used. Assumptions and typos on the internet can easily be misconstrued.
I love this song because both guitarists solo...really highlights the difference in style between Warren and Robbin.
Great reaction. I haven't heard that song in ages. I remember when MTV first premiered that video. Warren is an amazing player.
Now you need to do Lack of Communication off the same album!! That was the second cassette lol, that I bought as a impressionable 7th grader lol!! Love the band.
In your Direction is probably the best guitar work on Out of the Cellar
For sure!!!

I believe Wanted Man was in the Weird Science soundtrack.
Thanks for doing my favorite band , can you play "You Think You're Tough , and Back For More?
One of my favorite bands, ever!😀And Burch, I agree with you on Mr. de Martini!
Robin's nickname was King and he made the regular flying V guitar look small, so Jackson made the bigger V called the King V. I believe that's the story.
Birch, you should put together a book of your rock photos and the stories that go with them. I would buy that in an instant.
the tone of 80's rock/metal was so good..rip robin crosby, hes so under rated. didnt help he was in warren demartinis(great soloist) shadow

My first concert RATT and Fastway in ‘84
Ratt is in my top 3 rock bands, 1- Van Halen, 2- Ratt ,, 3- Metallica 4- Dokken
" I Make My Moves, I Make Them Right, I Don,t Refuse, I Keep It Light, I Take Command Of The Scene, Because For Me There's No In Betweens"....
This what we call rock
Favorite RATT song ever. Lay it down being a close second
Do DANCE as well. Great reaction as always.
Body talk was in the movie The Golden Child
Eat Me Up Alive should be the next Ratt song you guys should react to
One of my fav bands ever ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing, Ratt has always been a favorite of mine.
Ratt has always been my favorite Hair Metal - er, um "Fashion Metal" band!!! Hahaha....my favorite song is The Morning After. 🙂
Lack of Communication is their best tune.
Opinion of course. That's yours and it's a great song but some of us beg to differ
I really like the song but the lack of a great guitar solo really hinders the song from being fantastic since it gets a little too repetitive. I never understood why since every other song contains a tasty solo.
My faRatt tune for sure. I still listen to this song on the regular.
Awesome review, LOVED RATT in the day. Lack of Communication is my fav!!
I believe this waa a concert opener, bqck in the day. Great song, one of the album's best.
RATT AND ROLL! More RATT. Demartini is excellent. RIP King!
Burch dives into the deep end of hairspray metal.
I remember this album was Awesome. So awesome it my cassette was stolen twice out of my car and the last time I bought it was on CD.
RATT!!!! FAVE BAND OF ALL TIME!!!!
Great video. Need WINGER Headed for a Heartbreak now. Reb Beach is another guitarist that doesn't over play.
Givin' Yourself Away by RATT! 😎🔥🤘🎸

Warren is 19/20 years old during recording.
I saw them in Downtown Clearwater about 10 years ago, right before STEPHEN PEARCY came back, had some young kid singing, only original member was the drummer
Great song
Ratt n Roll
In san diego they ALWAYS played NYE at the arena. Always sold out. I was always working a diff show though doing lighting or monitors
Warren DeMartini reminds me of George Lynch. Not a clone because they're contemporaries. Just very similar styles with the hanging notes.
Probably one of the best roommate duos: Warren DeMartini & Jake E. Lee.
“Lack of Communication” actually has a more killer riff.
"Back for more!!"

Great reaction. Now listen to Back for More!!
Nice! Love this song. You absolutely need to check out "Nobody Rides For Free" from the Point Break soundtrack- good stuff.
How about some Psychedelic Furs~ Heartbreak Beat
Out of the Cellar and Invasion of Your Privacy are both great albums!! And I also really liked Detonator.

Robin (Crosby) was actually Bing Crosby's nephew. That's how they got Milton Burl to show up for Round and Round.
Birch introduce Alexis to the local boys from St. Pete. Roxx Gang!
Love Ratt. Warren's sound is great. Ratt, Dokken, Tesla and LA Guns were my favorite 80s bands. I never liked Crue, which seemed to be the most popular at the time.
Alexis is so cute she's such a positive vibe
You guys should do Dokken's " Heaven sent"
Ratt and Roll !!!
You guys should do Extreme "More then words"
You must do Lay it Down next👍👍
If you want to impress her with guitar work Extreme- Get the Funk Out. plus the ladies love Nuno
They definitely had a "COWBOY LOOK" in this video
Jake E Lee
Kings X - Over My Head
Love the video!!! When I have money, I'll join. Right now we're dirt poor
I still have my "Out of the Cellar" and "Invasion of Your Privacy" cassette tapes.

I always thought RATT had more of a PIRATE ☠️ LOOK. 😊
Helloween next for the win.
The singer now has liver cancer and went public with it - complication from Hep
From what I know, it's in remission for the past 2 years I think. Cancer sucks!
I saw Bon Jovi open for Ratt. That’s how big Ratt was for a short period.
If you get a chance watch MTV's behind the music RATT. Robin was 6'4
How about “ I’m Insane”. My favorite in the 80’s yes I owned the cassette 😊
RIP Robin
Warren DeMartini and Robbin Crosby were very underrated guitar players.
Shame shame shame is pretty good. Warren was always underrated, he’s related to Milton Berl! Lol
