Exactly how we feel about aging & health. We want to live long but also have quality of life. We don’t want years beyond quality

The short average lifespan span in 1900 was caused by childhood illnesses (lots of children dying under age 5 greatly reduces the average life expectancy), and most of the advances in the 20th Century were from protecting children.
If you do genealogy, it’s remarkable to see how old people lived in 1900 (because they survived their childhood).
The massive advances in the 20th Century were from improvement in hygiene, clean water, antibiotics, and mass vaccinations against childhood diseases.
Our health challenges today result from lack of exercise and unhealthy diets.

In many ways the numbers have multiple other considerations re: fertility treatments, Tx/NICU long term consequences/strains to the medical system as medicine is learning, etc.-moral and ethical evolutions over the last 125 years, etc. and also methods of tracking the stats.

I think you hit the nail on the head with your final comment. Lack of exercise and unhealthy diets.

Dr. Attia also has a great TH-cam site...which is helpful to understand his philosophy, practices...his journey/relationship with 'the science'...prior to purchasing a book. Something to consider.

It’s a pretty long list for Mark, shorter for Jody. We both visit with a Naturopathic doctor who does extensive blood work t9 determine what we each need. There are some common ones we both take like vitamin D, fish oil, and vitamin C. After that it gets specific to what we each need. I hope this is helpful and thank you for asking. Are you taking any right now?

My great grandfather cut himself shaving, died from blood poisoning, that was in the early 1920's 🤯
