I dislike when stylists put ugly hairdos on actors just to make a new style. Just because it's different. Except now, everyone is starting to copy this trend, so it's already not new or unique. Not everybody looks good in certain hairstyles.Thank goodness the actor that is being photographed is gorgeous enough to shine through that awful haircut. Stylists did the same thing with the trend of having heavy bangs with a bowl cut. Some movies have almost every actor wearing the same look. I mean even all the extras in the background to. It made some of the actors look LESS attractive than they reall are. One example is Song Kang. They gave him heavy bangs that were long enough to cover his eyebrows, and it completely changed the look of his face. Throughout the movie, there were brief scenes where his hair was pushed back, and you could actually see how stunningly beautiful he really is. When I style someone's hair, I look at how it goes with all of their features. Does it compliment the shape of their faces, or does it hide their best quality. I would never let someone get out of my chair unless I was 💯 that I've improved their appearance. I'm just saying. Some movies make it look like they're being filmed in North Korea, where there are only 5 hairstyles that can be legally worn. As a stylist, it makes me want to pull my own hair out. 😆
