I nearly cried at some points thinking about how amazing and beautiful this particular experience was for you guys. The shots and camera views...you both did a fantastic job! I pray your travels continue to be breathtaking!
To the lovely people of Nepal, please keep your environment clean. Please don’t leave trash where it doesn’t belong. Your environment is your livelihood. Take care of it. God bless Nepal and Nepalese.
I’m from Nepal but haven’t gone back once in 11 years and watching this video reminds me of my childhood. Will go to base camp when I go back. Video is as amazing as you are. 👍❤️👍
We figured the $5 per night spent at all the lodges on the trail saved us an average of ~$50-60 a night of what a hotel *would* have cost, so we went ahead and sprung for a night there. Totally worth the money for the heated blanket, haha! But really, the breakfast was amazing and the crowds did roll in after a few hours.
A wonderfully shot video featuring the local towns and scenery, and even the cherry blossom! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us at Hotel Everest View and thank you very much for featuring us! We hope that you will be back for another trek in the Everest region.
There are no words to explain those views, I wish I could leave behind everything and stay this place till I die …. Great stuff guys TFS… love from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
Sketchy airport for sure! I've seen some wild videos. This is another bucket list item! Wish I had had the opportunity to do it when I was young and not broken. Nice!
You know when you doze off sometimes in the middle of the day and you have that amazing dream where you do amazing stuff over days and days and suddenly you wake up and realise you only dozed off for like five minutes. The video seemed just like that. Showing all that you experienced on the trek over several days and experiences in this short video is dreamy. I am from Nepal, currently in Florida and I have been to Solu, the lower part of the trek you just made. I have not made this particular trek but will definitely someday when I go back. I would recommend you trek Dolpo region, the hidden shangrila of Nepal. It's not really that popular with foreign tourists as there are not many amenities on the way but the people, the mystic Tibetan culture and the amazing landscape makes up for all the hardships. But you will definitely have to get a guide for that. I loved your video. I miss the chilly mountain nights sometimes here in hot and humid Florida. Your video brought back memories. Thank you guys!!!
I have no words to describe the way I saw the beauty of Himalayan region, that was awesome, thought I live in Nepal, but never saw any video like this. Thank you
That’s the best compliment! We’re just enjoying the travels and making videos - if it goes big, great! If not, we have home videos of all of our adventures for later in life 👍 it’s a win-win 😎
Another great video. My wife and I went to Mt. Everest Base Camp almost exactly a year ago. The hike up to the Everest View Hotel (to acclimatize) was magnificent (and a good morning's workout). The Khumbu Ice Flow was pretty amazing too. I found your channel because we're going to do the last half of the Camino de Santiago in May. We did Kilimanjaro in February 2015 and the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in June 2017. Judging from your past adventures, you will do the Inca Trail too. I'm having a lot of fun in my semi-retirement doing the things I couldn't do at your age. Keep traveling and I'll keep watching. Thanks.
Thank you guys for this video lots of love from nepal hope u will visit other places of Nepal again and we welcome. U Fromm deep of our heart again love u guyz
Yeah its beautiful and he is only showing affordable side of Nepal there is much more as well in lavish side. Love from Nepalese tourism industry entrepreneur 🇳🇵
Wonderfully filmed. I did EBC in 2010 and everything looks more or less the same. It’s truly a gorgeous place. I’ll probably be heading back in 2020 for a 10 year “anniversary”. As an aviator; I’ll never forget the landing in Lukla; it’s much easier to land a 250ton aircraft! I’ll have to muster up the courage to sit through that landing again. Thanks for the brilliant cinematography; it brought back memories. 👌
this planes are called Dornier build by Hindustan Aeronautics, India .. I love to see them flying in Himalayans ....they are specially built for Siachen and mountain terrains...love Nepal, its a beautiful country from India
I've been in states for like more than 3 years now and haven’t visited Nepal in between. Watching your video/Documentary about my country(Nepal) really gave me goosebumps and the nostalgia as if I was there in person. Really loved your work, and you guys got a new Audience/fan from today :) .
If and when you go all the way to EBC (12 days minimum for safe acclimatisation) use the High Scenic trail via Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche instead of just walking through Tengpoche twice. Much more impressive views from a trail high on the other side of the valley, plenty of wildlife like musk deer and Himalayan tahr, and practically no other trekkers. Tengpoche monastery can be visited on the way down. This amazing trail must be the best kept secret in Nepal.
Thanks! We plan on going back and going all the way to base camp another time, when we’re traveling at a more leisurely pace. Kind of hitting the world really fast for these 18 months 😁🤷🏻♂️
Lovely vlog,I think it is possible to do trek without guides or porters but I did see several hikers having medical issues on the trek to EBC and needing helicopter evacuation,I think it’s worthwhile supporting the local economy and hiring guides etc stay safe
Totally agree. I have been 9 times now and do not really need a guide on all the major treks but will always hire a guide and or porter just to support the local economy and my now life long friends who work in the trekking industry. A good guide just makes the experience even better and if you are lucky like me end up with some great new friends.
Very nice video! Me and my friends loved it. What Ray-Bans are you wearing in the beginning of the video? I want to get those too. If you could let me know the model, I would really appreciate it. Thank you and good luck.
Thanks for watching!! Sooo, all of the shades you’ll see us wearing are $5 pairs that we picked up off the street in some country - I got those in Zanzibar. If you watch our Dubai running video you’ll see that I broke them and wasn’t happy about it (they were my favorite) so I’ve been looking for a similar pair ever since. If I find them, I’ll let you know immediately, haha ✌️
I nearly cried at some points thinking about how amazing and beautiful this particular experience was for you guys. The shots and camera views...you both did a fantastic job! I pray your travels continue to be breathtaking!
Thanks Mel! We really think you’d like hiking in Nepal! 🇳🇵

Everest view hotel is high class. I had tea there once couldn't afford to stay there.
