    Happy birthday! Love getting a new video and I also think the teepees are terrific. Strawberry mint sounds wonderful. I made the mistake of planting mint in the ground more than 10 years ago and i may never get rid of it. Very smart of folks now to use containers and the bucket is charming.

    Thank you for a great gardening video - I will definitely be on the lookout for strawberry mint - my husband and I have been adding strawberries to our salad lately - spinach, walnuts (chicken if we have a little) and strawberries. Strawberry mint would be a yummy addition. Love your teepee trellis - as for the broken pea sprouts, if you have more in the future, they make a great addition to a salad also.

      Lavender and Leeks Hi!! It is very exciting!!! My husband and I practically live outside in our garden as soon as the weather got nice lol. This is our first time planting herbs and veggies. We are starting with thyme,rosemary,sage,cinnamon basil, lemon basil,and some cilantro,tomatoes and jalapeños. We will see what else we can get going. Love watching your videos I learn so much thank you! 💚💚💚💚💚💚

    Hope the shows went well for you and your dad, making untangling the sugar snap peas a minor inconvenience.. Belated Happy Birthday wishes. Only a matter of time before the mint'll be in the spuds and Pimms. Oh Happy days

      I'm getting old, while a length of leg is always appreciated I was more impressed to see the post knocker in the background- in a girly shed!

      Great idea! You'll have to make sure they are supported well as they get very heavy! I grow Munchkin Pumpkins up my archways and it's a great space saving solution :)

    Sun protection??? Yes, that's right. I know... I'm like a mother hen, but... sun protection?
    Odd as it seems, peat does not readily absorb water. Once it dries in the ground, it is difficult to re-hydrate peat and you will have persistent dry spots in a planter.
    Love spending time with you up the allotment.

    • @oldorchardgarden
      @oldorchardgarden  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't worry mother hen :) I was lathered in sun cream, I burn really easily so always make sure I put it on. Thanks for the tips and thank you so much for watching.
