You know, if you really think about it...Baby Bowser wasn't a pure villain. He was just raised by one - Kamek..

So true. One thing I don't get, though: Bowser is basically the adult, all-grown-up Baby Bowser. So why didn't Kamek get really, really old?

Nice to finally see a proper boss fight against him in a Yoshi game.
Technically, Yoshi’s New Island replaced the 1st Castle Midbosses with Kamek fights, and while nice we could fight him, much like the 2nd Castle Bosses, they were far too easy. As much as I may not like this game’s backtracking and soundtrack, I can appreciate the boss design with Kamek being a pleasant surprise.
Topher Morton I’m referring to Yoshi’s New Island and how those were the times we fought Kamek as a boss in a Yoshi game outside of spinoffs like Yoshi’s Safari and Tetris Attack.
I feel sorry for Kamek having to deal with Baby Bowser and Yoshi simultaneously. He deserves a break.

That stage hazard shit is invalidated the moment Toon Link is still playable despite Spirit Tracks being available.
Spirits might hold some weight,though.

If you think about it... kamek is sort of yoshis nemesis. He sets the events of the games in motion, he appears before every boss to antagonize you... it's almost a crime that this is the first actual boss fight against him in the yoshi series.

Each of the heroes have their own nemesis. Mario has Bowser, Luigi has King Boo, Toad has Wingo, and Yoshi has Kamek.
Though I wouldn't say a "crime".

This was extremely hard in my opinion. Made me even more determined to beat him! I kind of like Kamek though lol. An epic battle against a wizard!

I’m playing yoshis island right now and the level for the boss is harder than fighting the boss
It's not even hard that just bullshit it's a difference
I recently defeated Kamek, but the Go-Go Yoshi segment was really testing my patience with how you have to counter EVERY rocket that Kamek sends your way. And the fact that one of Kamek's challenges requires you to defeat him without taking any damage just makes that segment even more intolerable.
Of course, it doesn't help that the joy-con controllers can suffer from input lag when you're repeatedly tapping the attack button.

@@catalinaprada5390 Easy in theory, but it's anything but easy when you realize how strict your timing is with punching the rockets. And there's literally no room for error, since even one missed rocket prevents you from stunning Kamek.
Just push the button as fast as you can and aim at the right direction.
I wanted Kamek to be the final boss but this is even BETTER!

I like how the secret boss has an opening cutscene yet there isn't a choice option or gems to collect.

@@magma1675 he can also resurrect the dead pretty sure bowser dies in wii and u that's y never see his body and my theory is Kamak trained the koopalings and other magikooopas but he can also make inanimate objects come to life and turn em into creatures

Even though this took several years to come out, the final game feels really rushed. It's a beautiful experience but the end game content is lacking compared to other recent Nintendo titles

Kamek pretty much uses his own version of Tin-Can Condor, Gator Train, and The Great King Bowser in this fight. Following a Giant Yoshi showdown
This maybe the Final Yoshi game but I do like how the big Yoshi dances with Yoshi when the boss is defeated and I like the music for that too

Geez! That's groovy and weird.
Don't punch as fast a possible or spam the A button at full throttle, it will make you slower or skip punches for some reason. Go for a precise even rythim when punching, also memorize Kameks missiles there the same throughout each encounter.

Kamek’s fight be like: So... remember that fight... yea the Tin-Can Condor, those hammer things, and that train? Well, your gonna fight that again, except it’s ME!
1st kamek section = battle of kamek disguised as the tiny can condor
2nd kamek section = battle of baby bowser's gator train kamek version
3rd kamek section = battle of kamek with the same kind of big robot from baby bowser
final kamek section = the secret final ever from this game!

Only the new ones, so, no burt the ball, naval piranha, I mean spike the piranha plant, all the mid-bosses or mega baby bowser kamekly skinned.
If those battles were in, this boss could be the hardest one in a yoshi's game
If the Boss Tent from Yoshi's Woolly World was any precedent, I think we ain't seen nothing yet. The Boss Challenge for this game might be the same; all the bosses in a row (or one at a time), but INSANELY FAST.

I think a cool title for this final level would have been "Gauntlet of the Magikoopa".
Far better executed in the Arts and Crafts demographic than Origami King! And it's very cute too! Those bosses also look pretty fun to fight!

FINALLY we can fight KAMEK in a Yoshi Game
I played this 3 years ago, it looks easy but it ain’t that easy especially if you’re playing it with the switch controls, I had to get a pro controller, anyhow, this game is a masterpiece I really enjoyed how challenging it gets to be but most of all the music
