I used 5 gallons on a 20’ ( all four sides and top) and brushed and rolled it. It’s a bit thicker and less water pint due to overspray from a spray gun but yes, takes a lot longer .
Hey Tony question for you, do you believe the best advantage of containers over stick built homes is the containers stackability? You can essentially double or triple your number of units by using what they are designed to do which is to be stacked on top of each other. How come I don’t see more people creating 2 story or 3 story Airbnb studio units with containers?
Good question! I don’t think we see more of it because of the difficulty at times to get containers permitted, especially once you are stacking them as well. It certainly is possible, but requires good engineering to provide to the building department. In my opinion, building larger structures out of containers can also be costly, so I personally think containers are a great option when you’re building within the footprint that already exists. I also don’t think containers are more cost-effective than stick built construction, but that they are aesthetically more unique.

This is very helpful thanks. Is there any benefit to using marine paint, or is it like the alkyd paint he's recommending?
What kind of preparation do you need for the alkalyd(?) paint? Any sanding or scuffing? Of just blast it with a pressure washer?
...OR...blast...

Talk about the paint you use on your Eco builds. Brand and cost .
It’s a ceramic insulated paint by a company called Neptune Coatings which is under a larger co called Harcoat.
Great Workshop!
Thanks!!
How do u put the shipping container on that trailer
Visually, it's very distracting to see you rock from side to side in your vids. 😃. Distracts from your great subject matter.
Good feedback Sue! Thank you! 😊
