We got our 15yo all KPOP, My Hero, One Piece and Black Butler stuff. We did Christmas the 21st though because I work 20.hour shifts from the 23rd to the 28th. We lost my Grammy Dec 23rd last year and my Dad Jan 11th this year so theres some of her Grammy and Grampys stuff under there that my brother gathered from their houses...as well as the keys to her Grampys Jeep.
We found some My Hero Academia stuff at Dollarama this year. I ended up buying the board game for my oldest, but I noticed that they had some mystery keychains too.
Hi Rainbow. I already commented on your daughter’s Christmas gift haul but wanted to say, again, great gifts 😊 but also to bring the Playmobil Naruto range to your attention. Particularly the Ichiraku Ramen shop playset. My grandson has this, it only came out in November but he has a December 1 birthday so he received it a few weeks ago and he loves it. Tons of detail and play value. It’s on the pricey side so definitely a “main” present, but it’s not ridiculous money (at least not here in the UK, not sure how the pricing translates in Canada). But I wanted to flag it up to you as a possible birthday present option. Might be worth investigating 😊. (As I’m writing this though, I should point out that, as with all Playmobil sets it comes with a ton of teeny little accessories. As you’re now fully back into baby stage that might be a serious issue unless you’re confident that your older little man can contain those pieces in a non choking hazard zone.)
Thank you so much! He’s never been into play mobile but maybe if I show him this he’ll want to try! I so appreciate you sharing with me, as it’s tough to buy him birthday gifts after Christmas!
My son is a little younger than your son -- 7 yo-- , but he has Autism and a beautiful mind so he has decided to do a "deep dive" his words LOL into DNA. So I bought him a Usborne See Inside Genes and DNA book and a board stragtegic game called Splice that requires logic to kind of build DNA strands. I homeschool too! Also, we love Star Wars and DK just put on a new edition of Star Wars vehicles which was on his list LOL.
Thank you! It varies! Last year was a big spender, we gave the older two a huge Xmas (and ourselves) before our family grew. This year it’s more in our normal range. It doesn’t always make sense to spend the higher amount each year depending on wants and needs of everyone. We don’t want to buy for the sake of just buying. Usually the kids (older ones) budget ranges anywhere from 400-700 a child not including stockings. We take a look at how our year is going financially and we base the budget on that! No debt, no broke decembers or januarys is our big rule.
Hello there, I just came upon your channel today. You have mentioned your kids are homeschooled. I have always wanted to homeschool my kids. I tried when my son started PreK during 2020. I am also a single mom who works full time. I am just trying to figure out a way to homeschool my children while providing for them. Any advice would be great from an experienced homeschooling mama. Thank you for listening ☺
I think more parents should do as you guys do and watch a show or movie first to see if it is appropriate before letting their kids watch it. There is a lot of inappropriate things out there that kids don’t need to watch
Well doms not 9 but this very much reminds me of things he would have wanted or would have gotten at this age 🥲 if you maybe want a peak into the future lol right now him and luella are back into pokemon. Like super into pokemon card collecting. They make me take them to the card shop at least once a week. They know my kids now at their fave shop 😂 so he’s getting a few Pokemon sets. He’s super into drumming but clearly we can not get him a drum set so we got him these drum sticks that make all the drum sounds, like a kid version to see if he really likes it and then we can get him a good set, kind of what you did with Gray and the binoculars 😅 he’s really into collecting japanese anime figures but he ships those in from japan and im not about to do that. So he is getting money this year to do what he will. He is still into manga, but now he reads it from an app. He has so many books and has run out of space. And if you wanna talk about judgy inappropriate stuff, he asked for the superbad movie dvd for his stocking (they usually get one every year) he saw it at my parents and he’s obsessed 😅 very much still into drawing so he’s getting a new notebook as well as new apple tips for his pen to digitally draw. And he is also getting new headphones so he can lose his hearing blasting Slipknot which is his current fave band. 😂 and Lu who is actually this age but is a girl is into all things unicorn and butterflies and stuffed animals and squishmallows and all these mini. So that’s the kind of stuff she is getting 😊
Awww I love this so much!! Gray is still going hard on pokemon too, but doesn’t really do the cards (yet). Your gifts sound so great, love the drumstick idea. Superbad 😂😂 I love it. Honestly, if people actually shared all the things our kids were into I bet everyone would be less judgmental haha. I love how intentional you always are with their gifts. How are these kids getting this big?!
My nephew was into tools. He could put things together very well. So one year he got a power drill for his birthday and he was thrilled.
What a great video. I am starting to get away from doing number of gifts as well. Thanks for sharing 😊

Oh neat! I didn't see any at ours, but that's good to know to look out for it!

Oh I love that! Sounds so fun, I love when they latch onto an interest and just go and go with it. I’ll have to check out those starwars vehicles lol
Love watching your christmas gift videos. Do you have the same budget every year or does it vary? How do you decide the budget for the kids’ gifts?
