I love listening to this soprano! She has a love of singing that just pours forth and is very, very enjoyable to watch. She has definitely sorted out some technical issues since the time this was recorded, and I have great hope that she will only continue to improve.
She has a great and beautiful voice and I have seen so many videos of her but I've noticed that she doesn't have dynamics like all the time singing so loud.
once upon a time ago, a singer like Pretty or Leontyne would not even be ALLOWED anywhere near a stage despite immense talent because of appearance demands like that. talent and artistry MUST come FIRST. Marian Anderson debuted waaaay past her prime at the Met because of this. History should not be repeated in other manifestations of the same idea, detrimental to this beautiful field.

She's spectacular in every way. This piece is more suited to a lyrical soprano.This girl is clearly going to be, or already is a dramatic sop. Not hard to imagine her as Aida, Leonora, Eboli, Turandot, Marie Stuarda, Heaps of possibilities. She's good.!!!!
She's still young so she just wants to sing those young girly arias like this one, but it's obvious she's gonna end up like Leontine Price, a Dramatic Soprano... Beautiful voice! Just beautiful... She might want to be a little careful reaching those high notes, it could damage her voice if she pushes it too hard, coz this aria is really meant for someone with a lighter voice...

where ONLY round people make it? that's ridiculous. as if they had some kind of privilege because they are fat. NO. they were the cream of the crop in regards to their craft and interpretation. THATS why. if anything, these days opera has suffered by demanding that a singer MUST have a certain look of body in addition to natural talent and artistry.
I'm interested in listening to beautiful voices not looking at great bodies or pretty people.. I am not saying is not nice, but that should be on second place.
