Yod was outclassed. Totally. The Japanese fighter landed so many clean shots it was very surprising. Only the knees and kicks saved Yod from getting knocked. No bias. Totally the right outcome.
Wow, this Shirasu is amazing! I'd like to see him put up against Giorgio Petrosyan because he just dealt with one of the absolute toughest guys in Muay Thai (Yod), and has very respectable boxing.

Yod is amazingly strong for his weight and is the reason he can win against much bigger fighters from different countries but as you said Khm. he is also a thinking fighter. But you are right this Japanese fighter knew just how to win. another great Japanese fighter to watch is Tetsuya Yamato. has had some great fights against thai fighters and some well known japanese fighters in the k-1 max.. also look up his fight against kevin ross.

This is not the same Yod from the contender. He is eating all the shots in the first round in the pass he would have slip and counters. Very disappointing fight for Yod but hey he showed hard so he's still true champion in my heart :)

No, Yod clearly lost. He showed a more complete fighting style until 4:54, when Shirasu landed the right. Then, Yod fought pridefully, throwing power without the sophistication he showed earlier. It was a repeat of his performance against Kyshenko. When hurt, he loses his discipline and relies on power instead of his skill.

This reminds me of Andre Dida vs Buakaw. Muay Thai fighters have zero head movement and don't know how to block punches well, and they're arrogant and thick headed when they get hurt. but unlike Buakaw, Fairtex couldn't overcome the knockdowns and ended up losing this fight.
thats what happens when fighters start getting drug tested like yod, and buakaw. can get away with it in thailand. both meant to be the best in the world.... until testing was brought in to it for international fights.
