Good ole Homer brought that Binder HOME !!! Turns out to be the perfect name for him. That setup is great, and like you say, will save a LOT of time and effort over the years. First tow, first haul, first one home! And I am SOOOO envious of you guys in the new place. Your own little slice of Heaven on Earth. God is inDEED Good AND Great !!! Amen.
Everything you're doing is great, you took an old truck that was sitting in the woods for years, got it running, and now you are using it to save more cool old trucks. Thanks for taking the time to record all this so we can watch
+Craig Hillegas God Is good and He is Great. You still ready to help me as ground support if Jamie and I fly into Minnesota and get that 58 GMC Firetruck running so we can drive it home? Its paid for, It needs to come to the new Classic Truck Ranch and join its brethren. -Rick
+Craig Hillegas Thank you my Brother. We will definitely give you more than a week's notice. We will also make sure you are compensated for your time and effort. Just a cool old Firetruck that needs to be saved. Probably be a really neat video too. -Rick
+spackmaster Chavez Yeah, I gave him the total Classic Truck Rescue Tune-up. They like it when that happens. If a truck proves itself worthy of it, you go ahead and dump some parts, money and hard work into it.. They always respond well to that. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Hey Rick my friends call me Mater, spent 9 years in the towing business and I love vintage wreckers. Homer is an awesome looking old truck dude glad to see he’s still working. Keep up the good work, I wanna see mor Homer videos!!!!

Homer is a great rig and looks bad ass he works really well with that trailer. I hope that he holds up with the big move, be careful moving those trucks.
+alnbaba we will be careful. I understand what a 20,000 pound winch is capable of. Have to say though, after six years cranking on cum-alongs...it was nice to pull levers and make that big old Cornbinder....come-along. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
+Greg Tice Jamie has no fear when it comes to driving these old guys. Wait until you see the upcoming videos of her using my old dumptruck "Bullfrog" to make gravel roads out at our new property. Thanks Again Fer Watchin' Greg. -Rick
i love those old IHC's i have had 2 51 l-150's and now im up to a nice r-190 nice old trucks. i also just drug home a 1965 d 1200 with the 301 diesel in it
+nelson bentley Keep dragging them home and saving them brother. Just remember...saving a classic means it has to always be getting into a better situation...Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Another Great video with Great people.. You guys are lucky in Oregon ,here in NY once you get a car on the road you only have 10 days to past a full inspection and it does not matter how old it is .. I am glad you didn't have to go down large hills with your brakes not being 100 %
+SkiZoom1 We actually went down a VERY large, VERY long hill and it was not a comfortable feeling at all, but we got it done. Thanks Fer Watchin' my friend. -Rick
This is so Cool my Dad Drove a Wrecker for 14 years and I was out with him on some of the calls he went on and watched and learned so much I see the inside of your truck and it brings back so many memories of riding in a Wrecker just like that I am enjoying watching this and I will keep up with you Thanks
+Charles Dyer I will definitely look into getting the old Cornbinder running. Standard procedure. I don't do anything with any of the trucks we rescue until I do a complete assessment on them and try to get them running and driving. Thanks once again Fer Watchin' -Rick
+trucksandtractorsandfishing145 He did do pretty good....for a 55+ year old truck that had sat in the bushes for 12 years up until 3-weeks ago. I was pretty happy with his performance as well. Thank you and Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick

Forgot to add it's a tre cool rig bud & very deserving of a new lease on life........ Realty does go to show "they don't build them like they used to"!!!!!!!
+Bill Smiff They really don't. I don't think you could leave one of today's trucks in the bushes for two or three decades and be using it to haul rigs a couple weeks after you drug it home. You speak the truth. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Hi Rick, just watched your CTR 6 clip, you're doin' great. Thanks for sharing your witness about coming to God & how it came about, I too found my way back in similar circumstances, the part I struggle with is the world we live in today & this whole "politically correct" movement where everyone has a right to free speech but we have to apologize for our religious beliefs? correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't America founded by Christians just like Australia? It doesn't have to be full on, just enough to keep tension on the cable and prevent the disabled vehicle from rolling away.
I truly love old truck, i love to see them on the road and drivin again but i don't know if i could stand that squeekin noise. I would probably lose my mind if i had to listen to that all day haha.
+ElCaminoGuy2005 Well. If you really love old trucks, and had 50 of them to move in the next 40 days...you'd probably put up with some squeaks and rattles. I'm just glad this old truck Runs, Drives and Hauls again after sitting in the bushes for twelve years. Did you by any chance watch the two videos where we just drug it out of the weeds with logging equipment three weeks ago? Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
+Classic Truck Rescue I did see those videos, i have been following yall fer awhile now and i love what yall are doin, and your right im sure i would get used to the squeekin hehe.
+dwight dunn By all means, if you find another one, do send photos to rick@classictruckrescue.com . I'll drag that one out of the bushes to. Thanks -Rick
Wow! I liked that one a lot. I was wondering if Homer would get enough traction to get the heavy trailer and truck up and out of that low driveway. Ha! No problem for the old work horse. -Aaron Arnold
Man Rick I would love to meet you some day. I have the same dream as you rescue classic trucks And have a property to store them and have a good size shop to work on them and plenty room to have my16h horse on With a pasture and a good size barn keep up the good work and have a great time moving all the trucks. And parts
+old smokey I love my Country. People can talk smack about America, but it is a country where people can be whatever they want to achieve....even offers second-chances . Thanks Fer Watchin' Brother. -Rick
+brad medhurst Thank you. I can promise that you will see future videos of Homer rescuing more old trucks. Thank you for your support and Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
I just found you guys when you found Homer. I would restore the tow truck and give the truck and trailer matching paint with the Classic Truck Rescue logo! I subbed and rang the bell. Keep up the good work saving the precious metal!
Very cool!!!! Great 1st road trip and rescue. that clutch rig is very out of the box thinking! Kermit looks lonely so I'll post this and let you get his friends with him. Good luck and god bless you Rick and Jamie. PS Jamie you looked right at home driving homer.
+Glenn Bell Jamie is an absolute Trooper. Thank you for your positive input. We'll make sure Kermit gets plenty of company real soon. Probably misses his cow-buddies. thanks once again. -Rick
I can’t believe I just discovered your channel. I’ve been eyeballing a couple classic trucks next door to my dads place that have been sitting about 20 yrs and who knows how long before he got them. Watching your vids is getting me motivated to go have a chat with him and see if he’s ready to part with one or all three.
+Sheri Hilker Amen Brother. This old guy has put more than enough time into the man-winch (Come-along) I really love and appreciate Homer and Marge (Marge is the trailer). Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Wow thanks for the ride along, About 10 years ago when I first got sick and couldn't work anymore, I was feeling pretty blue. My elderly niebor had just sold his cows and wanted help cleaning up about 125 years of junk so he could sell his property. I was homered he asked me to help, He had a 1956 Chevy 2 ton dump truck and a 25 ft. Triaxle bumper hitch flatbed. We pulled all the tires off the 50 or so cars ,trucks and vans, used a backhoe to cruch them, then stacked em 3 high on the trailer and 2 in the dumptruck. It was a long steep hill down to the main road then about 50 miles each way to the crusher. That old Chevy was repowered with a 454 and a 4 x2 tranny. We lived about 3000 ft in the air ,I can still hear that old bigblock Poping and backfiring all the way down the mountain to the main road, Everybody in town gave me the thumbs up as I rolled thru with another load ofEVERETTS JUNK !!! Thanks for the memories. Lord Bless.
+scott scottswart440 Wow...that DID bring back some memories for you. And thanks for sharing the story. Wonder if any of those cars that got crunched were something people would like to have today? We got quite a few thumbs up rolling through town with that old truck on the back too. Thanks again Fer Watchin' my friend. -Rick
+Classic Truck Rescue None of them were salvageable, There were a few old model Ts that got sold, a couple 1930 Chevy's ,a old IH pickup, There was quite a few collectable vehicles that got picked thru, We didn't waste anything. I live in the Northeast, They pound the salt to the roads here so after a vehicle spends 10 years on the road and then sits in a field for another 10 there is not much left of them. Some were so rotted we dug a pit and just buried them, like I was saying his family was on this farm for 125 years.
+CHEEKMOTORSPORTS Yeah...this one is kind of growing on me, but I would rather see it in the hands of a Cornbinder fan who would restore it. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
As a tow truck driver for more than 25 years, I would have liked to see the tape measure # on your total height. I've torn wires , hit traffic lamps etc , but was never stopped though the 13.6" was exceeded . Good luck Paul
We weren't anywhere near 13-feet. I know it looks tall in the video, but it really wasn't. Wish you could come by and share some of your experience with me while I'm working on the F600. Thank you and Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
look forward to seeing more vids and how the truck farm progresses homer sure made it a lot easier money well spent and what els to use but a old tower
+talfacprez Think I won't do a whole video about Annabbella's Cruizin' Quarters in Homer? First things first my friend. And like I said, I will deal with the rattles and squeaks. Just had to make it go and tow for now. Thank you. -Rick
ive done minor research a viking is just a beefed up truck more meant for utility work and i seemed to find there is another truck a spartan which is the next level up from the viking , never heard of either before until your videos , great channel i love what you do would love to find the things you have someday-Matt 16
+Gildedminer22 hey, there isn't any reason you can't be doing the same thing someday Matt. Right now, go to school and learn all you can, especially about the things you are interested in. Knowledge is the key to opening life's doors. Thank you very much Fer Watchin' -Rick
+nelson bentley you know what? I knew that...about twenty years ago. You are absolutely correct and thank you for refreshing my memory. Seriously. Thank you for the help and Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Great video. Gotta love a gal who can drive a stick-shift, especially a big truck pulling a three-axle trailer. The new place is simply beautiful. The old IH reminds me of my old `65 IH 1100A stepside p/u I used to drive ( had to let it go due to financial problems from my 1st heart attack a few years ago ). Looking forward to viewing all your videos.
+Military Chevy Trust me, you are about to get plenty of footage of Homer pulling some very big boys out to the new Classic Truck Ranch. Thanks Fer Watchin' Again. -Rick
Hey Rick, I have watched all your videos and try to check everyday for new ones. By far the best channel on the internet. Even though I rarely comment, I do like to read through the comments as well. I am actually starting to feel like I know you guys. That 55 in my profile picture is my current project and the "big picture" for it is to one day make the trip all the way from southern Missouri up to The Classic Truck Ranch in it, even if its just for 5 minutes to say HI! I usually watch your videos at home on the PC, but today I watched Homer and Marge doing work on my phone at work. I couldnt figure out how to leave a comment on the phone app so I had to wait to get home to let you know, watching you back Marge up to that old IH I was really happy for you. I know you are always giving God the credit for blessing you, and I am enjoying watching God Bless you. First he brought you Jamie, then the Ranch, and just when you needed it most, Marge. I can only imagine the amount of work you guys have in front of you, and we will all understand if instead of taking all the extra time to make videos, you just get at it and skip making videos. BUT please dont. Even if for a while you just make little short 5 min update videos to let us know how its going. I swear if I lived even half way closer I'd come over and give you a hand moving stuff. Even If all I was able to do was make sure "Trouble" made it to the Ranch. I also swear I'd only burn a little of the rubber off the back tires. lol Peace out! Thanks fer postin!
+MrTruck1012 Your 55 looks like a fine project indeed. You and your truck will be more than welcome at the new Classic Truck Ranch, but I hope you will wait until we get the campground completed so that you can stay for awhile. Your comments are beyond encouraging and the type of input that is both positive and motivating. God IS great. He has blessed both Jamie and myself abundantly and we are grateful for all we have and the opportunities He has given us. Thank you my Brother and Thanks Fer watchin' -Rick
Hi Rick & Jamie, nice to see ya. That old viking is gonna be a great addition, and it will sure as heck pay for itself just by moving your other trucks. Your property is sure a place of great beauty, Gods work all around, Special Place, and I am sure that you were ment to have it. As always, Enjoyed the video, You guys be safe, stay happy...God Bless
+joel mccoin Good to hear from you again my friend. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. May God bless you as well my Brother. -Rick & Jamie
Recently found your channel. I think it’s great! What a great woman you have there with Jamie. (Hope I spelled that right) you two seem absolutely perfect for each other. Wish I had a life like that lol. Mine is very different living in the big city of Houston Texas. I wish you all the luck and I subscribed and look forward to watching all of your videos. Great job guys! Thank You!
Classic truck rescue Thinks for the reply. On my David brown tractor I blown up the engine on if. And welded one of the connecting rod bearing. To the crankshaft. It had blow by real bad And when I pulled the oil pan and seen the first connecting rod cal journal with no oil on it But it not that bad I I have the tractor fixes soon. Aka turbo thanks old smokey
Watching you fuel it up, it really makes one wonder what the reasoning was behind putting a bomb ( sorry fuel tank ) in the cab with the humans? After all it doesn't take long for the rubber seal to start cracking with fuel spills allowing fuel to enter the cab, and considering how many people smoked back in the day , a scary thought indeed. All in all a very cool truck indeed, and very little terminal rust for spending 12 years in very damp undergrowth
Hi guys. You have got that wonderful land, but where are you guys going to live once you have to move out of the chicken place. During the rescue I saw that you have no tail lights, is that not a problem in your state. I would think that it would be a police magnet. That trailer is absolutely wonderful, picking up that truck was so easy, I wish I had something like that. Jamie you were looking good behind that wheel.
+Marcel Timmers We did notice the taillights were out, but we got home before dark. The new hauling setup did work out pretty well and will make moving all of the trucks a lot easier. I do have a pretty nice fifth wheel we can put out at the new property until we get the building up. Its not going to be easy and we aren't kidding ourselves about that, but we have our eyes on the big picture and a little sacrifice is expected to get to where we want to be. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
This may be a strange question - does that trailer have air brakes like Homer? If so may I suggest a larger air hold tank and bigger compressor. The last thing you want is to lose brakes when towin a precious load!
+Ben Pratt Brakes?....on the trailer? Uhhh....those are on order. Seriously, I do have all new axles and brakes coming for the trailer and that's all I'm sayin' about that. My Mom used to tell me not to put the cart before the horse...Horse is good, Now I will be looking into the cart. Hope that makes sense. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
I think I would rig up a pulley or snatch block on the back of the trailer and maybe one that extends out past the ramps close to the ground to run your winch cable to pull stuff backwards off the trailer just a thought
+Classic Truck Rescue Your welcome when you come up with something do a video on my suggestion to see how it worked out but the only problem I could see with it though is if it get going too fast going off the trailer theres no real way to slow it down or stop it unless you got somebody in the vehicle and hopefully brakes good enough to stop it what made me think of using the winch cable to do that is you had said you got about 100 ft of cable and thought hmm you know that could work to your advantage unloading if you could run the cable to the back and put a pulley back there then back to the front of what ever you loaded to unload it
+mrtowmonster I'm thinking use the cable with pulley on the back and a safety chain on the front with enough slack for the truck to clear the ramps? -Rick
+Solo Wolf I agree. Once I get the building up at the new place, I will get to work on making some things shinier,,,but some of these old boys have some charming appeal that they worked hard to earn and it would just be wrong to take that away from them. Thank you and Thanks Fer watchin' -Rick
Great series on this truck. Awesome wife. I just passed on a 55 dodge panel for $2500 cuz I chickened out. I would have passed on the opportunity to you if I'd been aware of you guys.
+nitrosport5 Hey, you gott'a start somewhere, A 72 K20 and & C30 are definitely starting on the right foot. Let me know if you need instrument clusters, a 58 Chevy I bought a few months ago had 6-sets for 68-72 Chevy Trucks in it. Follow your dream Brother & Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
+Classic Truck Rescue I've got a few parts clusters. currently hunting for a tach/air pressure cluster for the ramp truck. has air bags on it and would be nice to monitor them. really only need the tach/air lens and air gauge.. I've got the rest :) thanks for the reply. I'm a fairly new subscriber and have been going g through and watching all your videos.... I love old trucks!
+nitrosport5 Well, I don't have those, but will certainly let you know if I find any. Thank you for subscribing to, and supporting Classic Truck Rescue. -Rick

+ElCaminoGuy2005 Right-on Brother. Thanks Fer Watchin' Repeatedly. -Rick

Just found your channel and I am enjoying your videos. Love old trucks especially Chevys. You guys are awesome.
Thank you my Friend and Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
-Rick

+Kell Alexander Awesome...Thank you. -Rick
-Rick
Real smart rick..good job..cowboy..
A great bunch of video, I'm a 47-54 Chevy guy myself but this is impressive stuff
Very, very nice. I love the setup!
Thank you. -Rick
great job homie that combo gonna save alot of time and back back breaking like ya said money and time well spent keep up the great work
+Sheri Hilker Amen Brother. This old guy has put more than enough time into the man-winch (Come-along) I really love and appreciate Homer and Marge (Marge is the trailer). Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Jamie's driving Homer like a Boss :-), great job guys!!
+Nigel Wankel Jamie Drives everything like she stole it. That woman never ceases to amaze me. Thanks Again Fer Watchin' my friend. -Rick
+scott scottswart440 I have heard that about the salt on the roads there. At least you did what you could to save what you could. -Rick
Great video .... living your dreams.
sweet man love those IH trucks
-Rick
that was great its good to see the first of the truck ariving at the new place 1 down lots more to go
+peter donaldson stay tuned my friend....we are just getting started. Thanks Fer Continuing to watch. -Rick
look forward to seeing more vids and how the truck farm progresses homer sure made it a lot easier money well spent and what els to use but a old tower

+Charise Schwerzler Thank you. It is pretty cool to see an old piece of equipment put back into use. And Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Anyone who saves awesome old trucks rules..........
+Johnny Westley Thank you, and Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
The only problem with Homer he don't room for your rescue dog to come with you. All the rattles and squeaks might scare her anyway.
+talfacprez Think I won't do a whole video about Annabbella's Cruizin' Quarters in Homer? First things first my friend. And like I said, I will deal with the rattles and squeaks. Just had to make it go and tow for now. Thank you. -Rick
Classic truck hauler for the Classic Truck Ranch! You got yer self a great setup there I'm a tell'n ya! Keep on truck'n Brother!
+Earnharvick We WILL keep on truckin' my friend. That's what we do. Thank you for your continued support. We really do appreciate it. -Rick
Add a piece of garden hose or plastic pipe around the brake cable so it won’t rub through the cable or frame.
New favorite channel
Hey Rick and Jamie love your tow truck and trailer combination you have there so bloody cool mate great job on the first load 👍
+luke reynolds Thank you my friend. I agree, this setup is going to work out great. -Rick
ive done minor research a viking is just a beefed up truck more meant for utility work and i seemed to find there is another truck a spartan which is the next level up from the viking , never heard of either before until your videos , great channel i love what you do would love to find the things you have someday-Matt 16
+Gildedminer22 hey, there isn't any reason you can't be doing the same thing someday Matt. Right now, go to school and learn all you can, especially about the things you are interested in. Knowledge is the key to opening life's doors. Thank you very much Fer Watchin' -Rick
1 dislike why would anyone dislike this video this is a great video keep up the good work glad your dream became a reality have a good one
on cutting cable if you use a cutting torch it cuts and prevents the ends from fraying out
+nelson bentley you know what? I knew that...about twenty years ago. You are absolutely correct and thank you for refreshing my memory. Seriously. Thank you for the help and Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Great video. Gotta love a gal who can drive a stick-shift, especially a big truck pulling a three-axle trailer. The new place is simply beautiful. The old IH reminds me of my old `65 IH 1100A stepside p/u I used to drive ( had to let it go due to financial problems from my 1st heart attack a few years ago ). Looking forward to viewing all your videos.
+ddocspeck Thank you my Friend. Sorry to hear about the setback, hope you have recovered and are enjoying each day. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
I love how them old trucks sound
+buckster2575 Especially when they're running good. Thanks Brother. -Rick
Awesome video Rick and Jamie
Keep up the great work love your
Channel..
Nothing better looking than a pretty girl driving a cool old truck
I 100% Agree! Thank you.
Homer is a neat ol tow truck! Kinda hoped for some footage of it towing that big rig home. But sounded like it did well! :)
I also swear I'd only burn a little of the rubber off the back tires. lol
Peace out!

You guys have become my favorite TH-cam channel. Really enjoy your videos. Hell of a rig you got there.
+Tex Farmer We take that as a huge compliment. Seriously, thank you and thanks for your continued support my friend. -Rick
+Classic Truck Rescue TCR is it possible to put something like the 7.3 L diesel from a ford powerstroke in one of these trucks or something like it?
That's a valuable piece of equipment, I have to use my 67 with a trailer and winch and love it but your set up is perfect.
Another Great Video !!! LMAO!! Love the Cow at the end...LMAO....
+daniel mcvey52ford Glad you liked that part, I couldn't help putting it in there. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
I'm from England and love your videos, only found you yesterday and already hooked, keep up the great work you're doing, (everybody has a past)
Thank you my Friend, and Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
+Classic Truck Rescue I'm watching CTR 27 4days straight haha just to catch up, butt crack haha fantastic guys
+old smokey Hey, atleast you still have it. You'll get it going again. Thanks again. -Rick
I do agree that its a bit sketchy to have the fuel tank behind the seat. Wonder how many people that didn't go well for?
Great new property there guy's. :)
Thank you. We love it. A lot of work, but well worth it. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
No prob buddy. Really dig your old truck restoration thing going on. :)
I wish I could do what your planning to do. However my wife is not keen on travelling around any-more. Holland to New Zealand to Australia.
+mrtowmonster That is actually a very awesome suggestion. Thank you...seriously. I will do that. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
-Rick
I would be using that light on the top when you're stopped to the side or backing in to a driveway like at 17:00 and actually towing like at 22:00.
time for something new to do lol worth all the money you put in to it
Hey men I think you should paint the trucks you are using make em shiny :3 love your channel and work cheers
Right on
great job well done
+Jim Rowlings We appreciate that. Thank you for continuing to watch our videos Jim. -Rick & Jamie
Damm good job homer. love the vid
Rick and Jamie, you gotta name the trailer too!! I think it feels a little left out!
+Jonathan W One of my viewers already named the Trailer "Marge". Seems appropriate. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
?
Marge and Homer? The Simpsons.
Truck drivin' Mama!
+Brad Taylor Yup.
Id love to do this same thing, but with 67-72s! Im starting on my fleet! building my dream 72 k20 and have a 72 C30 ramp truck for haulin stuff.
-Rick
