Fact is that Toney could catch Couture and knock him out. If that DOESNT happen, then Toney's leg will be kicked into the 6th row or he's going to be submitted in a matter of minutes.

In boxing its hit or be hit, with constant movement around the ring for 36 minutes (12 3-minute rds), where as MMA, if a fighter is hurt standing up he can simply shoot to get the guy on the ground and regain composure, and the fights at best are 25 minutes long (5 5-min rounds). I respect MMA and what it's been able to accomplish, but the level of athleticism in boxing is greater than mma.

Other than Mayweather, boxers get hit in the head for 12 rounds. Typical mma 5-round fights wouldn't strictly be a punching-other-guy's-face-for-12-rounds match. Majority of mma fighters have post-secondary degrees, especially its superstars. Bigger gloves and an open ring won't hide the fact that boxing is more dangerous.

@masonparks I do not know that much about MMA. Toney is not a one punch knockout artist in boxing. It would be interesting to see one of boxing's greats fight in MMA. A prime Tyson or Foreman v the best MMA has to offer woukd be great! If Toney loses then I am sure that this will open the door for more boxers wanting to come through. The trouble is that there are no great heavyweights nowadays. I think this will look fairly bad on MMA if Toney does win though.
