I used to do this automatically as a kid. It was much easier to do than running since I was fat. My PE teacher had no clue what I was doing. Not until today 20 years later do I finally have a name for it!

Not hate because this is useful and it does make a lot of sense for people learning this but from someone who learned this when she was 9 that’s technically cantering at horse camp we used to go into the arenas and jump all of the jumps that were set up... yes we like jumping horse jumps that were 3 feet tall for no reason at all
