*Known for her "squeaks" and intentional vocal breaks, applies them both when jumping between octaves for artistic "Mori effect"*

This might have been one of the top 10 to 15 live performances of all time. FTR, I am a retired professional music critic, with 45+ years experience and used to write for a small Boston, Massachusetts newspaper in the mid 1980s. I saw Whitney, Mariah, Celine, etc. in their Apex primes and Morissette is their equal. This was the performance on the WISH 107.5 Bus that convinced me that she was an elite Apex, international caliber singer. In the years since she has grown to be a top 5 to 8 Pop singer of all time.

I don't believe that is whistle tones, I believe is is flageolet, i.e. it is in her vocal range.
She is born to sing, she's happiest when performing ❤️❤️❤️ and personally i feel better listening to her music.
Great reaction Dr. Marisan. You hit the nail right on the head. She has a fantastic voice (tone, timbre, pitch, dynamics, runs, transitions between all registers, etc. But what really sets her apart is her passion, joy in singing, and her ability to deliver the emotion of the song.
What a remarkable feat that people of this present generation are very lucky to witness a rare dimension that music should be entertained

Morissette Amon is a genre killer and able to perform better than the original but I never saw someone that can cover her songs better than her like this "Akin ka na lang", "Di mapaliwanag" and her official version of "Gusto kong Bumitaw".

I've seen a lot of her videos. I agree she just loves to sing. I think this is most evident on her First Take video of "Power" which is recorded, I believe, in her home with her husband Dave Lamar. This is her original and one of the most iconic song to come out of the Phillipines! In this song she showed the musical world what a phenomenal singer she is. Her versatility in her voice and that Disney tone!! Not to forget her incredible breath control. On top of all that she showcased her beautiful clean and clear whistle note!! Truly she is in my opinion one of the best singers going around the musical industry right now!

Is it possible for a professional singer to belt so much for so many years without damaging their vocal cords? I'd be really interested in learning the basic principles of belting from someone with your degree of knowledge. How does a singer protect one's self and why so many (it seems like the majority of belting singers) develop nodes and/or permanent damage. Thanks!

I am always amazed by this crop of genuinely gifted young vocalists and future artists who all demonstrate an amazing ability to control their instruments at a very young age. This is truly a gift that should never be taken for granted.

I would love to hear your opinion on 4th Impact . They are 4 sisters from The Philippines with amazing harmony. They auditioned for X Factor UK 2015 and the video of that audition has more than 187 million views on you tube. They have many covers and a few original songs on you tube ...they can sing any genre of song. Imagine Mori with added sisterly harmonies. So many vocal coaches have been totally blown away by 4th Impact.
