I mean really the only reason he had such a hard time is because he was playing on Legendary. If he was playing on Heroic he could’ve got through it no problem. Even Act Man said that pretty much the only game that can be beaten on Legendary no deaths was Halo: CE because the Legendary difficulty was perfect hard but not impossible to get through it was perfectly balanced.

Those Halo 2 Drones are ridiculously powerful in Legendary. They can't take very many hits but they can sure take your shields down

not to mention that they are hard af to hit

I know legendary is suppose to be the hardest difficulty and all but I have never and will never understand the logic behind how the master chief, a biologically hardened super soldier encased in the most advanced and protective suit of armor ever created, can so easily die from 1 skimming beam rifle shot to the foot, whilst the jackals, a race of literal bird people with weak ass bird bones and light as hell armor, can sometimes take up to 3 beam rifle rounds TO THE CHEST and still walk away. Un-fucking-believable. I could feel his anger and frustration trying to beat this level

I severely doubt Halo 2 was even play-tested before release. For God's sake, Bungie.
It's was the way of bungie to give us the finger since halo CE comunity claimed that it was too easy.
I remember there being a documentary saying they began completely redesigning the game engine with less than 1 year before release, so there's that
It's because the game had to be rushed so they didn't have time to see if it's fair.
Didn’t have time to work on it, so they just ramped up how fast enemy projectiles are, and how much damage they do. They didn’t have time to test it either.
Dead ass the game is difficult but not unfair, if you trace and remember each spawning location in the game, you basically can counter all of the “instant death” sniper shots.
I can't imagine how he's gonna feel playing Gravemind after this nightmare...
No wonder humanity was losing the war, the covenant got a large amount of jackal snipers ready to invade and shoot their enemies in seconds. it's like we are their target practice on legendary in halo 2. I got Halo 2 jackal snipers vietnam flashbacks because of these bastards in halo 2.
And now you know why this mission is #4 in my Top 25 Hardest Halo Missions video :-)

Yeah, epilogue in ODST totally takes the cake though. For me it was way harder than LASO gravemind.

You see, there's two sides to Act Man
One is the one from his main channel where he comes up with very thought provoking videos in which are expertly crafted and bring up many important points about video games
The other side of him is here, where he isn't afraid to showcase his anger and almost break his finger again
19:18 This is fucking insane. My theory is that the shot that kills him comes in from the right. If you look very carefully, when the death animation starts, you seem the beam rifle hit the Chief's shoulder. I think the Act man might have forgotten the Jackal on the right when you first come into Jackal Alley. Maybe that Jackal even spawned in later. But the shot that kills him comes out INSANELY fast even for a sniper jackal. It's true you see the crosshairs turn red on the other side of the pillar, but that's not where I think the shot comes from....It's too close to call, but that's just a theory....a game theory.

My brother an i almost finished this game in legendary whit torment skull butt we could't kill regtreat, the guy took like 30 hits and still don't die, we just gave up and played the next levels.
How to induce a brain aneurysm= Halo 2 Legendary. I couldn’t even imagine trying to do this on LASO.
19:18 even with play back at .25 its barely a frame you cant even see the jackel sniper yet and he dies
If you go through it frame by frame, it looks like he gets shot on the right shoulder. The Crosshairs turn red, but I don't think the Jackal he's looking at is the one that gets him. I think he might have forgotten a Jackal on his right when you first go through the door...I'm honestly not sure though, it happens so fucking fast. It's hard to even tell.

Top 5 hardest mission in all of Halo. That room you died in on the last attempt is insane to put it lightly. It’s also impossible to see the Jackal Snipers cuz it’s so dark and there’s 4 million of them. And the boss fight with Regret almost destroyed my soul trying to beat it on Legendary. I finally got it but those honor guards with the plasma rifles screw you over as soon as the prophet teleports away. No cover, and no saving grace like active camo that the Arbiter has. Impressed you made it as far as you did!

These are so great to watch. This guy does great. But what shocks me more is the stuttery controls. How to people play on consoles with 30 fps and shitty controllers? Its amazing
There's alao a hidden beam rifle and clutch af sniping area right above those hidden carbine and grenades. Makes that part a helluva lot easier.

The jackals aimbot can be tricked by crouching behind low walls and other objects, as it always aims for a specific point on your body and crouching lowers it to the point where you can hit them while they cant hit you. I love halo challenges and i'm thoroughly enjoying your awesome content Act Man.

Ive been doing the bungie titles legendary with the iron skull on, Ive done Reach and CE, and Im up to this level in Halo 2. The farthest Ive got is just outside the room Regret is in. Everytime I get there, the duel wielding elite comes out and instantly kills me.
