  • Muay Thai knockouts & highlights featuring the greatest Muay Thai fighter of his generation - Saenchai (Thai Fight highlights)
Up until 2014 when he ceased fighting top Thai competition, Saenchai was considered the greatest pound-for-pound nak muay for a period that stretched 15 years. He has beaten the best fighters several times over in his home country of Thailand and continues to fight internationally at 39 years of age.
Longevity of this type is rarely seen among Thai fighters who often retire in their mid-twenties due to the sheer volume of fights and subsequent damage they accumulate over a long and brutal career. However, Saenchai is among the most intelligent and athletic fighters of all time; he has an extremely tricky and evasive style and, as a result, he has taken very little damage over the course of a 300+ fight career.
Saenchai holds wins over Thongchai Tor.Silachai, Nuengsiam Fairtex, Singdam Kiatmoo9, Petchboonchu FA Group, Nungubon Sitlertchai, Nong-B Kiatyongyuth, Attachai Fairtex, Samkor Chor.Rathchatasupak, Bovy Sor Udomsorn, Orono Wor Petchpun, Nopparat Kiatkamtorn, Nong-O Kaiyanghadao, Jomthong Chuwattana, Sagetdao Petpayathai, Superbon Banchamek, Kongsak Sitboonme, Penek Sitnumnoi, Pakorn Sakyothin and Diesellek Aoodonmuang.
He has also beaten a long list of foreign fighters such as Liam Harrison (x3), Kevin Ross, Fabio Pinca, Damien Alamos, Rafi Bohic, Victor Nagbe, Kamen Picken, Craig Dickson, Matt Embree, Stephen Meleady, Jonathan Tuhu, Ognjen Topic, Charlie Peters, Chad Collins and Anvar Boynazarov.
This highlight features Saenchai competing against non-Thai fighters from around the world on Thai Fight.

He is not really a fighter. He is a teacher, showing his opponents the errors of their way. Look at the fight starting 5:52 in this video. About ten throwing techniques and he even takes care that the opponent does not fall to hard. When he had a perfect chance for a knockout basically to the back of his head, he only gave him a soft slap.
I saw him fighting a few month ago in a "junior" competition. His opponent was barely able to touch him. And he made only "soft contact" hits to not humiliate him so he could "survive" the three rounds.
When my Thai is better I want to meet him :D

Saenchai and his only brother had to go around searching for bottles to sell and sometimes they would beg or even steal food from just to people just to feed himself and family. but thankfully there was a boxing camp where you can join for free and and then fight for some amount of money. him growing up as a fan of muay thai hr wasnt hesitating at all he signed in and fought the first 3 matches and won with 2 knockouts then the coach saw his talent and the legend was born

Saenchai's success in the ring obviously isn't due to just one technique or ability as he is incredibly well rounded in all aspects, but I honestly think the way he's adapted the long guard to his game is what gives him superior advantage. He uses it beautifully to defend, but it equally lends him a more offensive strategy that aids a much quicker transition between defense and offense. His confidence from experience just allows him to utilize his abilities fluidly and unpredictably. A once in a generation fighter for sure.

So his left foot could be doing some nearly diametrically opposed timing to his right foot. Left hand playing counter patterns to his right. All four limbs working like four separate machines. You couldn't tell what angle he was going to come at you.
