Ouch....I have blisters on my eyeballs just from watching that. Great achievement, well done to you both, and all who took part in the Spine challenge! I took 16 days to walk the PW in 2021, so I know how tough the trail is walking at a fairly leisurely pace. That was one well-deserved pint at the end.

Would love to do it again though (definitely walking though and a comfortable bed at night). Do you plan to walk the whole PW again, or are you more motivated by the more challenging ways to complete it these days?

I've had both experiences on the Pennine Way and both have gifted me memories that will last a lifetime. I think Tom Stephenson would be pleased with how the race gives back to Pennine Way, replacing gates, contributing a substantial amount to help replace the roof on Greg's Hut, volunteers giving their time to help maintain the footpaths. Having read Alfred Wainwright's guide to the PW, I feel he would be in favour of ticking it off as fast as possible, "You won’t come across me anywhere along the Pennine Way. I’ve had enough of it.”😀
