I also grew up in Los Angeles and count many Latinos as my oldest and dearest friends. The new contingent of Martinez, Cedillo, DeLeon, Huizar and many of the LAUSD admisistrators have ruined Los Angeles in many ways with their constant overblown accusations of racism. They should all be fired and we can get back to enforcing the law and growing into a solid community regardless of culture or storied pomp of homeland b.s.

I’m sure these are not the first and only city council members to feel “comfortable” like this behind closed doors. They obviously had a familiarity with one another. This is not the first time that they felt like they could be candid obviously. I think everybody on that Council needs to be investigated at this point do you know what they say? I listened to the actual audio which I’m sure most people don’t they just jump to conclusion and listen to whatever the media says. What I heard was just realm talk, politics, and jostling for power. I challenge everyone to think about how you talk in private and what would be made if your comments were made public. Being pulled over by the police always was more exciting then it should have been. The military or the trades is the direction we were encouraged to pursue. We weren't bitter, not knowing any different, because America always offered hope and opportunity, and that is what we focused on. Martin Luther King marched with Latino workers who also marched with him. I believe the Gentleman's name was Chevez(hope I spelled it correctly) and they understood the meaning of standing and helping each other in their cause. I am really curious when we Mexicans compare a monkey with a kid is because the monkey is the most close to the human race not because the kid is black. There’s no excuse for the racism heard on the audio. Yet that being said IMO the shit talking is probably par for the course when it comes to conversation amongst any political leaders of any ethnic race. I find it quite telling how the LA Times chose to edit the 1hr+ audio and how even in this video the LA Times chose not to mention what they said about the “White Liberals” and the La Times as well. The irony of this leaked audio is the fact that what they were trying to do to maximize Latino representation because of the demographics of the city has been destroyed. So now what?
