  • GUYS, please pardon the delay of this week's show! But heeeeeeeeeeere we go! ARE YOU READY TO TAKE THE COUCH?
Join me on the couch with the founder of, Greasy Gardens Ms. Marlene Fisher, Master Gardener. We talk about horticulture aka gardening therapy and it's many benefits. During COVID gardening was a go-to for many people all over the world. Not just growing plants, flowers but also eating farm to table - growing their vegetables, fruit, seasonings, etc!
It seems some folks were born with a green thumb. Marlene states she can easily grown anything but also took a class to heighten her skills. Here are some of the benefits of gardening:
Gardening can make you feel more peaceful and content. Focusing your attention on the immediate tasks and details of gardening can reduce negative thoughts and feelings and can make you feel better in the moment. Just spending time around plants eases stress for many people. Gardening also boosts self-esteem.

Beautiful garden , but with using so much wood mulch , does she has a problem with stinkhorn mushrooms that spore in non hardwood mulch ?

Hi, I do not have any issues with stink horn mushrooms in the garden mulch. I do see them in my yard when it’s wet and rainy. Stinkhorn mushrooms stink however they do not cause any damage.
