You are right! That spalting is amazing. Glad you went with the black CA for the crack. It matched up great. Sorry about your lathe controller but glad JET was able to work with you and get you a replacement controller.
Hey Clyde. Thanks for the feedback as always it is very much appreciated. Jet is a good company and very easy to work with as is Woodcraft where I purchased the lathe. I love turning spalted wood because you never know exactly what you'll get. Thanks again for stopping by.
are the coins you are useing expensive ? and looking for the link for the proxxon grinder . thanks for your help . great job!!!!!
Hello. Thanks for stopping by. Yes, the coins can be expensive @ 4.00 each. I buy them in lots of 300. If you are selling your work that cost is minor but must be included in the final pricing. Here is the link for the PROxxon Grinder:

Very nice bowl! So far my Jet is running fine. Hopefully yours was just a fluke!
Hello. I love my 1221 and it has been a workhorse for me. I use my lathe every day and this is there has been no major issues. I will say a few things to watch out for; first the tightening handle on the Banjo for your Tool Rest can strip out (Plastic) and you'll need to replace it, next the screws that hold the Head Stock threads onto the lathe will back out and thirdly, the screws that hold the Head stock to the Ways will back out also ( these are under the head stock by the drive belt ). Just something to check from time to time. A little Thread lock would help here. Also, your belt, I use my lathe daily and have had no issues, however, I have noticed some wear on the belt as of late so just check it on occasion. Thanks for stopping by.
