I think most people could benefit from taking on board Goggin’s message. A lot of people are weak and choose comfort too much such as the couch or junk food instead of spending their time on something less enjoyable but more useful. He takes it to the extreme, most people aren’t going to be as extreme as he is.

I really like your commentary on David Goggin'smentality. I agree with you that his thinking seems
to be very black and white. In Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
This is called All or nothing thinking and is a Cognitive distortion
All or nothing thinking has its time and place (especially with giving up addictions)
But has some serious downsides. Gradual improvement
can really over time change people's lives instead of all or nothing achievements.
Like you I find David Goggins very inspiring but I'm really glad you created
this video to highlight the downsides of all or nothing thinking

Thank you so much Thomas :) exactly, it's not necessarily bad, it''s bad when there's too much of it

And without his mentality where would he be and what would he have accomplished?

@@yuiopoli9601 yes your point is great. But agree with other soft people too & I respect them.
I am a huge huge David Goggins fan, since My Dad passed away when I was 10, & nobody to guide me in my life, I’ve been hurt, went through my dark times alone & still have a big trauma, Now I only see David Goggins as my father figure.
I follow him everything he has to say, my life resonates like Goggins so I am following David Goggins very badly & will continue to do until last breath of my life. #stayhard

@@yuiopoli9601 True, that's why I'm not saying it's bad, just that you can't maintain it for long if you care about your health

I have a feeling, Goggins is low key addicted. He switched
Junk food pleasure hormones with physical exertion hormones. He still trying to fill that void. But He hasn't attended his past childhood hurt and fatherly issues.

Goggins have helped med alot creating that drive necessary for self disciplin. These days I always stick to my training routine three times a week no matter what the weather looks like and I eat better too. The key to his message is that drive is everything and just talent will get you nowhere. And this is the main problem for most young men in the western world. They are lazy and I was too and it ruins your life without you even seeing it.
Goggins talks much about that you shouldn't compare yourself to others. But as you say in your video he does that himself. Still overall he has so much to share and although he is extreme he can help so many people.
