Sometimes the greatest transformations happen when two broken souls cross paths. Henry, a man lost in luxury and emptiness, and Claire, a girl stripped of her worth, remind us that hope can bloom in the unlikeliest of places. Behind the façade of wealth and pain lies a deeper truth: saving someone else can often save yourself. A gripping story of redemption, trust, and the courage to rewrite your destiny.
What an awesome father Henry has. A father without any meanness in him because she's not of their circle. What an awesome awesome father! I'm happy that they gave Lucy a wonderful home. Her biological father James was also a loving part of her life and I'm happy for her. This was a beautifully done story Narrator. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
A father who his daughter to pay his debts is a cruel horrible person. This is the greatest abusive treatment father's do to their daughters. This story a very sad one but Henry is the hero. He saved Clare from his father wanting to sell her to a brothel but Henry bought her and took her to his home. Why do some father's did this to their daughter? It's horrible. Clare should thanks Henry for saving her instead of asking question. This world need more people like Henry.
Henry is a beautiful person. A man seeing an injustice, with the ability to help, and helps without hesitation, wanting nothing in return. Clare had obviously been very poorly treated by he father. That in itself is good reason for Clare to have questions of Henry when he bought her. She had no idea what he would do with or to her. She was pretty much in a helpless situation.
