I love these sort of channels but i think to many people have seen them now & given their info away. I have been selling full time for 6 years & the amount of resellers at the bootfairs are shocking now.

Most of the main charity shops have their own ebays stores now, and the stuff they have in the high street shops is priced to nothing left on the bone. Market place again everyone knows how to value their items now, its slim picking now. Boot sales is best bet now.

Over the years, more and more markets with a low barrier to entry e.g. gaming have more and more competition, so I've made sure to diversify into more niche markets as well as utilising more routes to sell my stock. This doesn't mean that I don't also still pick up gaming stuff etc, but I don't feel downhearted as I always find something interesting regardless of the bootfair. For me it's about making relationships with people who can get a lot of good quality stock themselves. Sometimes I have to pay up a bit but the average sale price is higher and generally has a low level of competition but high level of demand. Occasionally you also get lucky, I was sorting out my storage unit and some surveyors two units down were clearing out their old stuff, they gave me around 1500-2k of surveying equipment that only would have ended up in the skip.
Another route that I've started to move into is consignment, the profit is less, but I have no initial cost and as long as the item is quick to list and sell, it's worth the time and effort.

Maybe go through old listings and amend photos and prices to xlear old stock while you are struggling to find new stock
