Cavalier Puppy Livestream: Lunch & Playtime for These 4-weekers

Good morning, friends and families! We hope you are doing well on this sunny and rainy, warm Saturday!
The puppies seem to really be doing well with their trips coming out of their pen to eat and play on the floor alongside their potty tray. We are going to do the same thing again today. They got play with Daddy this morning, we may bring out another friend to meet!
We only bring them out for short periods initially, but with time their trips out of the pen become further in distance, we'll go outside, hang out with Daddy and the other big dogs, and more! We'll point out changes as the pups evolve through them. For these first few days, we bring them out to eat puppy mash in a small, safe area with Mom nearby. Their beginning-of-stream play time evolves to include free reign (with our supervision, of course!) of the room with lots of toys, a snuffle mat, and a rotating social circle of friends. They get LOTS of practice playing and running around, then suddenly needing to find the potty tray.
They are advancing themselves through potty training! You can see them walk over to the tray themselves! We continue to place them in the potty tray, because even though they are catching on, they need consistent reinforcement and reminders. Reinforcement and consistency are essential for successful potty training. Mom still potties them sometimes, but you will see us frequently remind them to take potty breaks in the pellets. The blanket we have lining the pool is waterproof and we use towels and small blankets to help collect accidents (which we frequently swap out).

We apologize for running ads! Drew and I are getting an ultrasound machine for our moms. Vets do not routinely ultrasound Moms unless there is a medical need. Having the ability to scan Mom during pregnancy would be invaluable. We appreciate your patience and support, and we promise to share the ultrasound experience with all of our families and viewers!

Welcome to the Red Barn Cavaliers family home! This stream is located in our master bedroom, where we whelp every litter of puppies. We move them out to a more 'public' location after adjusting to their eyesight and hearing. We live stream them every day, providing their care on-stream for their families to see and keep up with their puppy's progress.
We raise Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with an emphasis on their emotional-social development. We raise our puppies for the distinct purpose of becoming Emotional Support Animals. This breed's temperament is ripe for therapeutic bonding, and their ability to tune into their handler's emotional needs can't compare to any other breed.
