hes one of the greats but hes on the level of pirlo. Zidane, Iniesta, Xavi, Kroos, Modric are above everyone else.

Man i think his technique , his impact on the game, the way he revolutionize the free 8 position, he is one of the best to do it as a midfielder, it’s a shame that he was never considered to be a ballon d’or winner.

It's so difficult to understand how Kevin De bruyne uses his eyes to find passes that you don't even know exist..
He is among the GOAT midfielders
It's medium hard in FIFA and pes to see those passes but I agree, in real life, he is exceptional, the very best.
I measure a player by effectiveness NOT by beauty on the eye. When I've put KDB on the effectiveness category (or what I like to call "winningness"- i.e. the effect the player has on actually winning games disregarding everything else) there was a period when Messi/Ronaldo was waning a few years ago when I put KDB no.1. That's not even to say KDB doesn't play the game in a sexy way, just that you measure his influence and Man City finishing with record breaking points totals to beat Liverpool is BECAUSE of him. Xavi is another player I put in this category and for my money Xavi rivals Messi, and beats Zidane who was far more "beautiful".
Even more difficult to understand how his weight of pass is so perfect. Best midfielder to ever grace the game.
This is why he’s clear of players like Ozil and James Rodriguez, they didn’t adapt and got left behind instead of seeing the tactical shift and moving with it

Crazy thing about KDB is that his left foot is even stronger than his right foot which is crazy when you see him hit those long shots
I think his first season with city was so underrated. He was so pacey and skillful back then but unfortunately he got a big injury in 2019 and also pep's tactics forced him to become more efficient. I like the more mature kdb we have now because he is simply better but the old kdb played with hunger and passion. He was more aesthetically pleasing to watch.

He has been the best midfielder in the world since 2017. Shooting, play making, crossing, passing, he has it all. But the reason I like him is his elite mentality. Most young players would have fallen by the wayside if they were kicked out of Chelsea in similar fashion. But KDB instead went on to prove himself at a lesser club and work his way up.

19/20 was his best season in my opinion just behind his Wolfsburg insane 14/15 season.
19/20 definitely his peak, followed by 14/15 as individual. but as team it would be last season, he won treble and he is top assist in 3 different competition (epl, ucl, fa).
19-20 was his equal best and simultaneously worst season. Best indvidually in the pl at least, 33g/a in 35 games. Highest non pen g/a for a mid in pl history i think. Equaled the assist record with sterling and jesus up front(jesus missed 24 big chances that season). Also was clutch in both ro16 and qf of the CL but sterling did sterling things and fucked city. But yea last season overall was ridiculous
KDB has taught us that when asked to play in a role so unfamiliar, players should accept that and try to make the best out of it. For young players especially. Who knows what that might end up making them to be.

KDB is one of finest brains in Football history and so complete he got everything shooting, playmaking, passing range that is just unbelievable some times, big game player, technical, physical and tactical awareness.. He's one of the greatest midfielder not just of this generation but all time⚽

He won everything at Manchester City and won multiple player of the season awards in England and Germany. As a Manchester United fan, I acknowledge Kevin De Bruyne. All the old time merchants saying KDB is not on goat status. KDB have almost the same amount of assists Modric + Zidane whole career combined when he is still only at 31. And when they say “Stat does not matter” KDB be scoring worldie or doing magic on your face. Won a Quadruple and 5 premier league titles. KDB showed time to time how fucking clutch he is, just look at that solo goal against Arsenal during title race. Kdb game is not only about his touches and passes, his killer instinct along with his ridiculous assisting and finishing (with left and right foot, anywhere up to 40yards) truly devastating for his opponents.
Earlier they had the UCL argument. Now it's been snatched from the haters. They come up with, not good in the finals. He was intentionally injured in 21, and played through injury in 23. Had it not been for him, city won't even be in the final.

I can't think of any other premier league player who can give accurate, defense splitting passes while running at full speed.
Haaland gets all the plaudits for his goals and may even win the Ballon d'Or this year. But De Bruyne is the beating heart of the team. Without him, Man City aren't the same.

KDB played only a few minutes in both the Champions league finals. But that is precisely why they struggled in both of them.
After KDB went off against Chelsea, Man City didn't manage a single threatening attack and ultimately, they lost.
Though they showed great grit and resilience against Inter, Man City were incredibly lucky to win the final. Inter players missed great chances. Man City looked really nervous after KDB was substituted. It wasn't their best game.

Even as a Man United fan i have to begrudgingly admit that my last 2 fav midfielders in the Prem have both been from Man City(David Silva and KDB). Especially KDB as he is such a complete midfielder. Not just the fact that he adapated to various types of midfield roles but also the fact that he was actually dangerous in all those roles(and not just a versatile workhorse with limited skills). His through balls and his first time whipped crosses into the box literally gives me eyegasms. Hate Man City but love KDB. Man City better make a statue of him once he leaves.

I feel strongly about the way he controls and builds the pace of City's every attack when he is on the pitch.
Having the passing prowess is one thing but KDB, I feel, knows exactly when to use it. Its how he is efficiently able to pierce through defensive lines with ease.

As an attacking midfielder, your job is to carry your team, often technically. KDB makes up for his lack of flashy abilities and agility with incredible sheer desire to create goals. He never stops attacking. While most players switch off and on throughout the game, he’s always adamant on assisting or crossing. Which is probably why he is so precise with his foot. One of a kind, a legend. Kevin De Bruyne!
