a cool trick to sometimes make the trading hall look better is to put the villagers on honey blocks than you only need at least one high walls around them and don't even have to build above their head because they can only jump 3/16 of a block or 3 pixels.

You can use any wood blocks for fuel in furnaces. Yes bows and crossbows work too. Also dried kelp blocks and charcoal too

You can give the deepslate path a stripped birch wood outline, that will give it some colour and make it stand out a little
