- I tried moving out at 19 years old with my best friend, @hanjustin. In this video, I go over my thoughts and what it's like to move out of my house at my age. I'm scared, excited, and everything else you could think of. I'm excited for this journey and I'm glad you guys are here to support me through it all. I can't wait to see what this new chapter has in store for us!

This video in general made me realize that I need to move on from this in a positive way, no matter what happens. Yeah, it’ll be sad in the moment but you’ll get over it. You’re uncomfortable because you’re growing, that’s a good sign. Green flags everywhere.

Im actually going through a really rough break up rn. Im all alone in my college city and going through so many changes. Im scared of doing things on my own, graduating and jumping into the real world, and the endless cycle of losing loved ones plus myself along the way. I didn't click on this video thinking I would cry. Your words about experiences, places, people and even life being temporary and how that makes it more beautiful made me realize I'm going to be okay. Thank you for your words and goodluck!

this is hitting hard because i'm also 19 and moving out (sort of, I'm in college and trying to get an apartment) and the thought of doing that makes me sad as well. saying bye to the person i was when living with my family, saying bye to the house, and saying TRULY bye to being a child. i didn't plan on crying tonight but hearing a mother say "don't be scared" was so refreshing. I'm also saying bye to college friends as i transfer to a new and better school, and saying bye is hard. richie, from one 19 year old whos making that big step to another, you're so current. the temporarienss of life makes it amazing. thank you for this video, dude
oh my, the tears seem to be falling. As someone who will be moving out soon at 19, the convo with your mum really hit and it's like im really gonna miss my family, it's crazy how we take things for granted sometimes. But I agree with the things you've said on the beach, and im still so fricking terrified of death and changes, but fr life is too short to be sad and sobbing vigorously past midnight. This video is like, exactly what I needed to see today. I'm 18 and I'm moving out in less than two weeks for college, which I guess is different but it's similar enough and I'm so nervous, but not in a "will i make it?" sense, I want to move out, its just the change and the " Oh,, this is over now isn't it? i will never exist in this house the same way i have been ever again. like this is the changing of a chapter of my life after only feeling paragraph changes for so long" type of feeling you get from it. I know i'd never be able to thrive if i wasn't moving out, kind of like Justin said, when i'm in my room, in my bed its almost like i feel trapped in a way. watching this and seeing you two preparing for your next chapter gives me a bit more confidence in mine, so thank you for sharing this more serious and vulnerable side to yourselves. greatest of luck in everything to you both. the human existence is beautiful, let us all make the most of it

this is a video i needed. the messages and the thoughts on first moving out n Justins explanation on living in his room vs moving to a new apartment n Richie’s sentimental moment in the beginning lolll - it’s wild but this video really fulfills the explanation i needed to give myself in order to continue moving forward with what i have.

I don't know how but theres not a single video of Richie's that hasn't hit me right in the feels (I cried). I find it so admirable how you can take any situation or step forward in your life and make it motivational. You're able to convey your feelings in a personal way yet touch on everyone's common experiences in life. Man i dont really comment on videos but lawd have mercy this hit too close to home. I dont know you both personally, and i dont typpicly watch ur videos ( no offence lmao) but i wish you well in the future. Myself, my partner, and my 3 best friends are all 17 and we have been plannning to move out since 7th grade. Each of us go through our own problems at home that make us very eager to move out. All we have is eachother right now, and we constantly make plans about getting jobs and moving out and finding something affordable. This video gives me hope that i will be able to accomplish my wish, and only desire of "escaping" my problems at home right now to live with my new family i have met along the way. moving in with a friend that you trust and have been with for so many years is such a blessing. you have someone to struggle with regarding money, food, jobs, etc. which makes the process that much more enjoyable. even the smallest things like saying hi to each other when you get home or just knowing that someone is there in the other room doing whatever they're doing is beautiful. although i'm still 16, i'm excited to see how you guys decorate your place and how you grow to be even more independent. i might take inspiration as well

I didn't expect to cry but damnnn this hit hard. I just moved basically by myself and my family is not a drive away :') but I wanted to keep going forward with my studies and back at home it wasn't an option anymore. Here's to the little things we'll experience with our new friends! (btw the difference between Han's moving out video and yours lmaoo)

It's a bit funny to see you guys in the somewhat same boat i was in last year when I moved out at 16 with my best friend. I was so scared to be in a new city without my family, but it worked out so well and I love living here with her.

I remember when I had first moved out I was 18 going on 19 & it was scary because I was moving out for my first time I didn’t know how it would be or what I would do and what not, all I remember was packing up stuff getting a uhaul with my best friend and we moved out of our houses to an apartment & the first few nights were scary cuz I wasn’t used to the idea of living on my own with a friend and living away from my family even though it was 20-25 minutes away it was still new and weird getting used to not waking up and seeing my parents or sisters, there was even a time I was uncomfortable to sleep in my new room the first few nights & slept in the living room but as time went on it eventually got better. I now live in a new home closer to my family my Bestie moved out and we still hang out . Moving out is a real big step but a step that’s nice to start a new chapter. I wish you the best with your new life now.

I found this video right after watching Justin’s video about this and realized how different the styles of videos are. Yours is more calm and more relaxed while Justin’s is chaotic and loud. I’ve found this in the first few minutes of me watching you.
Two months later and still bawling my eyes out when I watch this. I've been really worried about the future lately as a highschool senior looking into colleges hours away from the comfort of home but watching this gives me a sense of clarity and peace. ❤
