I once played Ovation guitars in the 70's into the early 80's here in California. Moved out that brand to Martin, Guild and Gibson guitars. I got tired of the back. Thanks for the post!
I had one for a bit and sold it. This sounds dumb possibly but I found with the rounded back it was always kind of sliding around on me and was hard to keep in position. Just my experience.
@jerroldshelton9367 Ovation set the industry on its ear. That round back and 5-piece neck with diamond-shaped fret markers and the fluorite sound hole are amazing.
Actually, not all ce 44's are solid top. Some are laminate with exotic hardwood veneers. I don't care what the top is made of any more than I get bothered by the synthetic bowl back.

It is hard to get tired of the Ovation Guitars.
I never have and never will get tired of Ovation guitars but I seem to be in the minority.

Do you have any info on the ovation cse 44 I just picked one up but I can’t find much info on this specific model
