Nikon camera randomly gives this error after enough uses of shutter clicks...in most of case this happens due to fault shutter loader.. for more info write in comments
this is a great example of video fraud ...he made the video only for views ..he won't show you or talk how is done instead he put that stupid music and he made the video unclear
Wow, it looks like you used your camera quite a lot. Super cool! I have a D40 aswell, really love the handling and colors from the camera. Thanks for the video.
hi, lodi, nice video, by the way, as i have seen in your video, did you replace new shutter aperture motor or just repaired or cleaned it? and just want to ask it also the same with shutter release error for D5000? b'coz i'll try to replace the shutter motor of mine. thanks in advance.
The D40 and D60 shutter assemblies are identical (the cameras only differ in circuit board and software), and I believe the D3000 series is also based on the same frame. The D5000 looks like it's a continuation of that line, so the shutter assembly may also be the same.
So if you really want to fix that 12-year-old 6,1MP camera for posterity's sake, here's the entire rundown on how to tear it apart and rebuild it. If you just want a daily shooter, chuck this in the dumpster and buy a new D5600 (or upgrade to something more advanced while you're at it). The cost of labor alone is more than a new camera.
This is a great example of why I would just take my camera to an expert!

I'm an Electronics Engineer with years of component level repair experience but this level of invasiveness damn near gave me a panic attack!

I had replaced whole shutter loader unit..
Is it possible to just replace the shutter motor alone? (I mean does it takes out of that assembly?)

What is it price for new shutter
Getting a replacement drive motor is probably more than getting a used $30 D40 or D60 body off Craigslist.
