I had heard about this shrine from another TH-cam channel that just barely mentioned the sumo monuments. I put it on my list and visited this shrine in November 2019. Not only is the shrine quite impressive, but the sumo monuments are simply incredible! I knew you were going to cover this shrine one day! Love the new channel, and the natural sounds in the background are quite a nice touch, especially on rainy days! So glad that I subscribed at the end of the last sumo tournament.

Wow, very cool. I have a soft spot for stone shrines.

Thank you for the report. I think they had better add Hakuho. Anyway, this is another thing I really wouldn’t know about without a great translator. Cheers

Great new channel. Miss the voice over Chris like on the Sumo channel. Please consider it.

Great video, Chris! Love exploring along on your travels. But, I'm blind as a bat and totally not a speed reader. I know I could pause video, but then the progress bar is on top of the captions. Could you extend showing them another second or two, please?

    Where exactly is this shrine?
