Its good to see people get so seriously related to this hobby today... Also the aquarium market has increased alot in the past years, especially with the kind of equipments and accessories we get to give the fish live in a happy environment.
That was awesome Kaity. Thanks for taking us along with you....I've been to plenty of auctions....but never a fish auction....thanks for sharing this experience. Your videos are really relaxing to watch....great African cichlid tank BTW. Stay blessed 🙌
Hi. I was also at the auction and I also bought the wild bettas. They’re Betta Unimaculata from seller F. $50 a pair! What a steal. I don’t think there were any macrostoma bettas. There was a single betta Apollon though. I hope you enjoyed the day.
*_WOW never knew there were Fish Auctions like this..._* It makes sense to have different arrangements for buying and selling certain fish. In the clip about indoor slanted river tank, there was 1 rare and very expensive fish. People auction all kinds of rare things like art and cars. Looks like a fun time. Thanks for sharing.
That was fun. Made me smile that you were willing to record video past midnight. Beautiful cichlid display at home and congratulation on your new purchases.
WOW! That peppermint pleco breeding pair would have gone home with me! I really liked the gold corys you took home! I've not seen those before! AND LOVE your friends tank with all the angels! 😍
Most aquarium clubs will have auctions generally at each monthly meeting there might be a few limited items for sale. Additionally most aquarium clubs will have a major auction combined with a fish show on a yearly basis and this is when some great deals can be had on equipment, accessories and fish. The fish that are up for auction will be locally raised so they are already accustomed to the water conditions in your area and often the fish will be something that is quite rare in the hobby.
I really enjoyed this. I have never been to a fish auction. I might fall in love with so many of them. Thank you from the USA!! P.S. I have a pea puffer. Very interesting little guy who lives on baby ramshorn snails in my guppy tank. I didn't pay $250 for him, lol. Wow.
@@VtuberLife I have a lot of snails so he leaves my guppies alone. Pea puffers need to have the job of baby snail management. Mine works all the time looking for newly-hatched ramshorn snails. been going to these auctions for about 12 years, midnight finish was a common occurance at some of these, they start at 5 pm theres usually 6 per year, 4 at springwood and 2 at caboolture, QFAS is usually the last 1 of the year but as of yet ive found no info on it
other wise caboolture around end of feb , early march will be the first next year. the local fish forum and some soc media sites will put ip posts when they are announced
i some times sell but this time i had fish pre ordered through some contacts so i only took what was pre ordered and had fish i had ordered as well...still walked out with about 20 auction lots, i left at midnight.....jad the v8 super cars race to go to sunday or i would have been in on the outdoor sales myself
Thank you for all of the info Bill!! I'm guessing you are the Bill who I met on the night? 😄 That's fair enough, it's good to hear you are spreading yourself across a few different hobbies unlike some of us 🤣
Pretty awesome unfortunately here in the UK we don't really have many fish auctions
That sucks! I didn't even know we had them here until recently
Thật là tuyệt vời quá à thanks my friend good morning
Thank you 😊🙏
How much for pea puffers??!! These are around £5-7 pounds here in UK 😯and are widely available, time to move to Australia and breed these for a living 😂
Hahaha yes whoever is breeding them here is making a killing 🤣
iv done a few things that late at night but never a fish auction lol 😁 cool laser cory! better than the green laser cory and not so much money
Hahaha, I was thinking the same 🤣 At least there's no hangover the next day when it's a fish auction other than sleep deprivation
