This band is one of music's best kept secrets. Great writing, great playing, no compromise to appease record label accountants. This band is everything.
While I'd love to absolutely agree with all of this, not even the mighty Frost* are free from the long arm of the record label. Jem has been "asked nicely" to reduce album length, track amount and other compromises from InsideOut records. Unfortunately it's just part of the deal.
@@psychodelian oh absolutely, they wouldn’t interfere with the music itself. I just got conflicting vibes from InsideOut when they let bands release double concept albums with a subjective amount of filler material and they won’t let Frost* release an album over 60 minutes long because it puts people off (allegedly).
@@IWatchYouFromAfarOfficial record companies rarely "get" a band's audience. If it were a pop band, yeah maybe they have a clue. But bands that are more evolved?
@@psychodelian InsideOut used to be run by a guy who was a huge prog rock fan but I don’t know if he’s still there since they were bought by Sony a few years ago. I imagine there are people there who ‘get’ the bands but they have to follow the orders of the suits upstairs.
My dad took me to see Frost for the first time a couple of weeks ago and all i've got say is WOW!!!!!!!! HOLY COW!!!!!! What a band! They sounded absolutely fantastic, it was one of the best shows i have ever seen. If you ever get a chance to see them live, make sure you do. You are in for something special.
If anyone hasn't seen it, there is an ever-so-slightly longer version of this on Spotify (like 30~ extra seconds with fade), and if remember correctly the album version will be 10+ minutes long. The drums at the end of the Spotify version make me super excited to hear the full thing.
@@doopum1 It is yeah, you're right. I knew it was long but wasn't sure of the exact time, and I was too lazy to look it up at the time if I'm being honest haha. Have you listened to the full album? What are you're thoughts?
Just discovered this song and band last week from a Spotify playlist. This song gives me a blended cocktail vibe of Genesis, The Police, RUSH, with a dash of Don Henley's "Boys Of Summer". Can't wait to dig into their whole discography.
Get listening to the old album’s from from Frost, John Mitchel is one of the best guitarist’s I’ve ever heard, Jem Godfrey is one of the best writer’s, Pianist’s, I’ve ever heard, Blunders on the drums back in the day is fantastic, hes come back for the most recent tour of the UK, saw them in Leeds not to long ago, some of the best music on planet earth for me has come from them !
Spotify recommended this band today and I gave it a chance... WOW just amazing so glad I found you guys great songwriting, arranging and playing. Great video hit home...
My first exposure to Frost* was "No Me No You" and based on that, I thought they were a metal band with cool keyboards! Then I dug into the catalog and now I'm a super fan and I love all the albums. Such a fantastic find.
well... the "Others" EP was quite Mitchell-free, so maybe it's payback time. ;) But yeah, likely there's plenty of Jem-vox in the final mix we're all semi-patiently awaiting.
Holy shit this band is one of the greatest bands i've ever heard. This album is in my top 10-15 all time after about 3 listens all the way through. WTF how has nobody showed me this band before lol????
Same !!! Steven Wilson always leads me to other amazing artists I’m a huge SW /PT fan here.. Stevens cover of Floral Green led me to Lonely Robot which I instantly loved and led me here to check out other works of John Mitchell and Craig Blundell .. so addicted to this album It checks ✔️off all the boxes of what I love in music
This IS what Genesis would have been if Gabriel never left and they were 20 yrs younger ! Frost* is the modern day super group just not recognized yet! Search out the album version of this track. Most proper!
Chi-Chi, if you liked this, check out Freak of the Week by Freak Kitchen. It's style is very reminiscent of some early 2000s Disney films! Plus, the song itself is amazing too!
Big fan of DGM here (everybody in the band is a killer player, and you are one of my favourite vocalist in the genre), and absolutely huge fan of Frost*!
I don't know what to say! This is so greate! I just love your sond, I played drums all my life and this is the drum sound I been searching fore! The video! So my life! The human race at it's best! Briliant! Love this!

Seriously underrated prog rock group. this song and album are absolutely amazing. epic!!!!
This album is a masterpiece. All the way through.
Got nothing on, milliontown, experiments in mass appeal, falling satellites
Best prog rock modern band ever, frost sound at 100%
I can’t do nothing else but to agree with you mate
+1

That's awesome. Hints of The Police, Trevor Rabin too. Love every bit of it.
Yes! (Pun semi intended) Was struggling to put my finger on it, but definitely a Rabin feel.
The intro reminds me of Boys of Summer
It reminds me of Frost
@@michaelpolese3440 I don't think it sounds remotely like anything of their previous stuff other than Numbers.
I couldn't ever take The Police seriously after NWA's diss track.

This song could only really be improved if you turn your volume up to 11. I honestly can't wait for this new album.
Haha indeed !!! same
I agree
But why not just make "10" louder?
@@theflymo These go to 11
My volume goes from 0 to 100. 11 is really low.
** MUSIC GEEK ALERT **
The bass ending on the mediant is a whole vibe.
Absolutely a fabulous band!!!
The 70's, maybe 80's vibe of this song, with a touch reminiscent of Phil Collins, is out of this world! Outstanding!
Their 1st album "Milliontown" got the vibes of Genesis written all over it.
Just great.....
This is encouraging. First two singles off the new album are both bangers. Excitement...we has it.
How did I miss this??
Holy sh... I've been living on a rock for a year!
Wow! If that animation don’t get you in the feels! Great song too!
Wow seeing some visuals to this EPIC BAND makes it even better
The new album comes out the day after my birthday, and honestly I couldn't ask for a better gift!

Just the best driving fast song ever ! However, the video cut leaves you wanting more, which the long version delivers on.😊
Noice. Is it only me though that is craving a Jem vocal? I’m sure there a lots of such goodies to come. 😄
Spoilt my sausage supper though. 😂

Yes though I can’t say no to Mitchell’s vocals either 😀
Very Nice! I love the effect on the main vocal, very effective for the song
Very very very very very good.... as completely expected.
Frost* the best cure for body and soul! ♥️
It’s a masterpiece however, the production is out of this world.

Das Album des Jahres 👍🏻
This is one of my favorite bands since I discovered it in 2010. This song is another example of why. Thanks for your music guys!
Man, this hits home! Loving the vibe of the new material; cynical and desperate, with a fragile sense of hope. Excited!
Can t wait ! I love Frost* !
I love it!!! I love it!!! Two years after purchasing the album, I still love it very much. What good taste! What a talent! They are great!
awesome drumming and sound..... perfect production as usual!

Based on the singles the album is going to be an absolute banger - so excited!
